I agree
I think the Russians want to destroy the Ukrainian Army, that wins the war, and it’s probably what they mean by demilitarizing Ukraine.

Is Zelenski ok with them dying?
Sviatoslav Palamar, a deputy commander of the Azov regiment, said in a video address that wounded Ukrainian soldiers at the besieged Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol “are dying in terrible agony from inadequate (medical) treatment.” Palamar also said the bodies of dead soldiers should be carried away so that Ukrainians could say goodbye to their heroes properly.

Russian Troops Are Taking Putin’s Orders to Demilitarize Ukraine Literally
Russian strikes have hammered facilities that produce heavy gear the Ukrainian armed forces desperately need.

ManPads are deadly, I'm sure someone has told the FSB to focus on these western armaments.

Motivation in this case is opposite of your comparison. On paper this should have been over in weeks.

Russia’s Strategic Success in Syria and the Future of Moscow’s Middle East Policy
lawfare

Key to the operation’s success was its limited aims, which were focused to avoid the Soviet Union’s Afghanistan-like scenario of overextension.
The cost was low in terms of blood, not only treasure. The only public high-casualty incident was a brief and murky battle in February 2018-U.S. forces acting in self-defense killed a number of Russian contractors.
The intervention was a low-cost strategic success. Moscow established control of western and central Syrian airspace and an agreement granting it a permanent military presence in the Eastern Mediterranean for at least the next 49 years.
Tens of thousands of Russian military personnel have rotated through Syria over the years and received valuable training and experience, which will bolster the Russian military’s performance globally.
A frozen conflict scenario may not be ideal for Moscow, but it is one that it can live with for a long time—especially because it will help make the argument for the need for Russia’s continued presence.
Many similarities to the Ukraine Special Operation.
Not likely that lawfare is pro Putin, Don't shoot the messenger.

We know where he’ll be today. Should end his life.

Why should we end his life? To put American lives at risk? You're an a-hole.

Putin's right hand, you know, the one that shakes uncontrollably, was not on display today at the parades in Moscow.
First, when sitting, it was covered by a blanket when he was surrounded by WWII veterans who didn't have blankets.
Then when the rest of the viewing stand were saluting the troops as they marched by, Putin's right hand didn't salute at all.
Maybe he could take lessons from Weekend at Bernies?
For previous parades, did Putin salute as the colors passed in front of him?

Kherson is applying directly for membership in the Russian Federation.
The new civilian leadership has changed the coat of arms to the ones authorized by Imperial Russia in 1803. The arms were struck by the Bolsheviks after their victory in the Russian Civil War.

The Video of Putin walking in to the parade shows him swinging his left arm normally as he walks, but his right arm and hand remain almost motionless.

He's been walking that way. Some say it's the KGB walk!

Yeah it seems like all of this was a plot to absorb southern and eastern portions of Ukraine. I watched a video and apparently there’s untapped natural gas reserves there or something

It’s not about resources. Russia has all the mineral wealth it would ever need.

I wonder if they've used Botulism injections to stop the tremors?
I know normal people with tremors who have used it to reduce their tremors (specifically a high school teacher shots six months apart to avoid the students mimicking her shakes) She has said the loss of the shakes is accompanied by a loss of other mobility.)
