Even if we pretend we aren’t laundering the money through those countries… why the hell are we brokering money for Iran? We bombed them to get investments for them?

The neighboring states sure seem willing to make these loans in exchange for an Iran with no nuclear weapon program. Why wouldn’t we want to help negotiate that?

Nope. With assurances that Iran will never try to tax ships going through again.

By being able to buy more oil from Iran without sanctions and better infrastructure we are paying for?

Yikes. We aren’t paying for a thing. And I sure do bet there is a little bit about China in the stipulations. I really am surprised by this response. You’re too smart to miss basic stuff.

Money is fungible. Even if it doesn’t go there, it frees up other funds to go there. Hoe many times have we funded terrorists through “humanitarian aid”?

I've said that the whole Iran conflict wasn't worth it and will go down as Trump's biggest blunder of his presidency.

If what Vance stated was happening is true I disagree. We get an Iran with no nuclear weapons ever. We pay them zero. They get loans from their neighbors. What is the problem?

Good point - and goes to the heart of the bullshite part of the intelligence community saying Iran is weeks away from having a nuclear weapon, or whatever they say.

If the argument here is that Iran will renege on a deal….then there isn’t any deal that would make you happy. It requires a ground war. Is that what you’re advocating?

Where are you getting that this will be paid in loans? Did Vance say that?

The clip of Vance I saw indicated it would be infrastructure investment, but I may have misunderstood him.

If, yeah a huge fricking if... Like I posted above where you claimed I said Iran was winning, there is no final agreement and Trump said he doesn't have a timeline for one.

The MoU states that Iran will make their best efforts

What is the problem?

4.3% Inflation
1.50 more a gallon in gas for 3 months

All that for a "best effort" when we were told over and over and over again that we obliterated their nuclear program June 2025.

It says they maintain status quo for a period of time. It also states that once all of the stipulations are agreed upon they will dismantle their nuclear arms process forever. Did you read the entire agreement or just what you saw on cnn?

Probably a combination of equity and debt investments.

If things the thought process there is literally no deal that can be made. Is that your assertion?

Correct. They have threatened many times. That won’t happen again. I notice you skipped the rest of my post. Not surprised.

That seems such a tall order. In fairness, it's almost impossible to read when one is in midst of a conniption fit seizure.

Perfect. Then this really isn’t a deal and you shouldn’t bitch about it, right?

That is awful for those families.

4.3% Inflation

So less than 1 percent above average inflation. With a stock market through the roof.

1.50 more a gallon in gas for 3 months

Well it was one of those 3 month forever wars.

Its Trump's deal. We know if the Democrats take the White House in 28 they are going to tear this deal up and throw it in the trash. There's no guarantee a future Republican president will follow through on it either.

The agreement references “financing” which I took to generally mean loans. Which would make Vance’s comment about gulf states “investing” make sense. It isn’t a gift of cash. It is a loan/investment.
