You people just keep on swiping that card for your groceries, your gas, your Monster drinks and cigarettes they have you by the balls and you don't even realize it.

Yes I use a card sometimes but not very often maybe just a couple times a week. I use cash for almost everything.

I haven't used a card in almost a year. Yes, I am crazy, up until I'm not. Just have to figure out how to decouple assets from bank management.

You ain't crazy at all. I should be more hardcore with it. I need to be better about using cash everywhere. I might be naive but I just can't see cash going away anytime soon, not in our lifetime. Just think about it and imagine if suddenly we found out all cash would be obsolete one month from today. Think about how this would effect the entire world.

Duh, it is every globalist's wet dream.

Confiscatable, anti privacy, and programmable money.

CBDCs are a nightmare scenario

Buy assets that hold liquidity without FIAT....like small gold, jewelry, bullets, other sought after small value goods. Buy reserve assets to store value long term: big gold, bitcoin (offline wallet). Not a lot you can do other than that if you are moving away from banks.

I'm talking more about real estate. I have some actual metals, cryptos, and useful and expensive tools. Hell, I used to have a good collection of personal protection but it all fell in the river.

Just stay away from urban real estate lol. When shite hits the fan, buys head to the less populated areas.

It's hard for some of us to not want to use them though.

I fund about 50% of my Roth IRA every year the past decade with rebates from my work expenses (3 to 4 k per year).

Hard to pass on free money.

Still old school in that I always keep bout $500 with me in cash though.

I'd advise investing in bullets.

Bullets, rice and dried beans. And some form of water purification.
