They got rid of Kimmel because affiliate stations didn’t like what he said about Charlie Kirk’s killer and MAGA people. 32 stations stopped broadcasting his show, followed by 24 more. Jimmy’s mouth messed with Disney’s money so they shitcanned him.

Has ABC/Disney said he's been fired? As far as I know that hasn't been officially stated. Right now he is on indefinite hiatus. Most likely they will wait a while, make him apologize, and then quietly put him back on air.
Secondly, this isn't about dissent. Jimmy went on the air and lied about the motivation of a murderer. That's not dissent, that's purposely slandering a large segment of the population.
Silencing dissent is forcing social media companies to shadow ban or outright ban users who question the government narrative over the efficacy of a vaccine or have them police a topic potentially harmful to a candidate (e.g. Hunter's laptop).

This is exactly what our lefty friends were telling us when Alex jones and others were being deplatformed from social media. They told us to make our own social media companies.
Some conservatives back then were calling for retribution while others fought back against that sentiment. The latter recognized that, while a free market issue, it still set a terrible precedent regardless of which side was ultimately affected by it. We all lose.

When everyday people were being deplatformed for speaking their opinions (not lies) about Government actions and policies from 2020-2024.

This is exactly correct. They gloated, taunted and bragged on and on with glee when it was being done to conservatives during that time frame. Now they're getting a taste of it they're whining like little bitches.

I’m getting caught up on this FCC angle, and found the below article to be a good overview. Personally, I can’t support the FCC just going after media personalities they don’t like, but I will say that even the NYT struggles to make it sound THAT bad. Perhaps the view is that intentionally misleading the public as to which ideology may have been at fault for Kirk’s death isn’t in the “public interest,” but that’s a slippery slope.

Everyone has been wondering that since before the widespread adoption of email and was sent via fax machine during the Rush Limbaugh days.
My favorite was when he would run clips of Democrats and media members all saying the same catch phrase.
