Mental illness is when 3rd party expert data becomes emotional drivel.

Mid city is much more than that small area. Try walking down a street that isn’t as active.
Like what street? I work in Mid-City and my kids go to school in Mid-City. I live near BSJ and the Fairgrounds. Between work, my kids' school and home, I'm all over Mid-City every day. Where should I be afraid?

On every sidewalk? What percentage of sidewalks? How often do you see it?
See if you can answer with something longer than four letter words.

New Orleans is a shithole that should have been left underwater

All over Union square and then the theater district. The parking garages smell like pee. All along the street where the mall that had Nordstrom on it was covered in tents with drugged out people and people shooting up.
I used to go shopping in that mall and over in Union Square. That was the nice part of SF, and now the stores have moved out and the vagrants have moved it.
I haven't been in 5 years because I moved out of California, and I really have had little desire to go back.

Your map gives Old Metairie a C rating. Seriously?

The masses are screaming and crying about crime getting worse, while numbers across-the-board continue to drop over the last 2 years. And drop significantly.
And when the stats showing lower crime are shown, many spew the narrative that the numbers aren’t reported correctly

Dude most of that s*** is all propaganda we all know it's lies, are there problems, absolutely is it as bad as the media wants you to believe, not even close.
Most of the people bitching about it have never even lived in these areas they just hear about it and they parrot it what they hear.
I've lived in mississippi, I've lived in florida, I've lived in Washington state, I've lived in oregon, I've lived in texas, I've lived in California.
All these places have their pros and cons, you have good areas, you have bad areas. Most of the time you just go to your job come home to your family eat dinner, relax, go to barbecues, 4th of July block parties, see your neighbors mowing the yard when you're out there, walk to the beach, etc, etc. It's all just life man and honestly if you're going to focus on the negativity then there's that, but it's mostly the same no matter where you go.

If liberals are involved, there is an extremely high chance the numbers aren’t reported accurately.

Awwwwww……….you’re obviously embarrassed (or delusional) about your living in a shithole city?

Exactly. Yes in Nola you have to dodge a couple of bullets… so what? Yes you may get car jacked… so what? There’s still some great people in the city no matter how many bullets you have to take.

Edit - See above post. 4cubbies completely avoided data provided by Zillow showing a 20% drop in home values and attempted to make it a me vs them and they live there and I don’t argument.
Here’s some data for you
quote:
In June 2025, New Orleans home prices were up 2.3% compared to last year, selling for a median price of $383K. On average, homes in New Orleans sell after 67 days on the market compared to 82 days last year. There were 388 homes sold in June this year, up from 332 last year.

I love my twelve dollar home and my non-homogeneous neighbors regardless of how much anyone else’s house appraises for anywhere else.
quote:
What she doesn’t realize is that by claiming she lives there and still has no knowledge of the market she resides in, she looks even more foolish and mentally ill.
I’m not planning on moving so I’m not sure why you think me not keeping up with home sales is a sign of mental illness. It seems like the inverse is more probable.
quote:
And now I’m lying about where I live to win an argument with a mentally ill stupid person? You have to show others how broken these people are. I did that fairly easily this morning.
The type of person who tries to brag about their material belongings to strangers on the internet doesn’t strike me as a not-broken person.
I live in a beautiful charming home in a neighborhood I really enjoy with neighbors I adore. I listen to Jazz Fest from my porch every year and take my kids fishing in Bayou St John. Confederate jasmine covers my wrought iron gate every spring and smells divine. My family worships at a beautiful 133 year old church with an extremely active and generous homeless outreach. I have never felt called to run and hide from people who aren’t just like me. I’m proud of my <$1 MM home and the life my husband and I have built. I wouldn’t trade it for a McMansion in rural homogeny even though people I will never meet don’t approve of it.
I haven’t left 70119 at all today and haven’t seen any dead bodies or heard any gun shots. I haven’t been car jacked or robbed. I havent see any poop on the sidewalk anywhere I’ve gone today.
