The question is not whether the strait reopens but when and whether Iran retains any naval capacity to contest it. Critics compare the challenge of escorting a hundred tankers daily to an impossible logistical burden. But you do not need to escort tankers through a strait if the adversary no longer has the means to threaten them. That is the operational trajectory.

I mean. I guess we will see.

They don’t need a navy for drone attacks.

Obviously, we are not done beating them down. When this ends in a few weeks, Iranians will not ever want to harm a commercial vessel. Instead, they will be happily re-building a country that can work with all other countries and prosper.

These religious zealots, with world dominance aspirations, will no longer be in charge. Even Britain, their facilitator, is done!!

We initiated this war without anyone but Israel. Why are we asking if others are with us now?

There is this liquid black stuff that they may need to run their economies. It would be nice if they could lift a finger or two ensure the free flow of it at market prices.

I look foreward to the day that we invite a zealotless Iran into the international community, with open arms. First we have to make sure we get every single one of the zealots before we can call this a victory. I am 100% sure we can do this. We are America! We have the will! We have the way!

As I said earlier, it comes across like asking for help to clean up a mess that we’ve made.

Israel has a vested interest in disarming Iran and they have a powerful military. That is why they are involved. You mouth breathers can’t seem to grasp that basic concept.

The question is: Why is the US military involved in this war against Iran in the first place?

How was Iran threatening the US and you and me? Tulsi and the DNI claimed there was no nuke" threat".

If you want your allies to help, you probably should not tell them in such a crass and juvenile matter that you don't need their help only to follow up with criticism of them not coming to help when you ask them after telling them you don't need it.

Maybe we need world leaders who don't get their feelings hurt so easily and appreciate the 80 years we have been protecting them. Geopolitics isn't for the weak or timid.

Why are you putting the entire onus of international relations on Trump? They owe us regardless of how insignificant Trump makes them feel. That is what matters, not their feelings.

True or not, this sounds like a kid throwing a hissy fit after no one showed up to his birthday party.

Yup. The guy is burning bridges. It's become a bad habit. What kind of tactic is this? I expect him to start slamming his shoe on his desk like Khrushchev.

Hard to believe there was ever a magazine article on Trump titled, "11 Winning Negotiation Tactics From Donald Trump's 'The Art of the Deal'.

What do they owe us with respect to Iran considering the fact that we initiated this without them?

More or less, it lets him know who he can depend on. I wonder how they feel now, not knowing how he will respond.

No sir
Open your eyes and mind and re-read what others have posted. You appear to get caught up in a loop effect with your repeated questions. Or are you playing devils advocate

I know you are a screaming liberal so any reply falls on deaf ears

If you cannot comprehend the Iranian regime since 1979 and the control of the straight of Hormuz and death to Israel and America and supporting terrorism then I can't help you and your ignorance.

If this was not done now when do you think we would be in a position later? You would be hard pressed to find an argument that supports our interest in this endeavor to be much stronger than Ukraine
