Because he could get from them what he needed without invading. They were an R&R destination for the many in the Wehrmacht, they openly traded key industrial supplies, produced just across the border from bombed out Germany and they laundered German money. They also treated downed ally airmen like crap, essentially putting them in POW camps.
They were neutral in name only. By the end of the war there were quite a few US and British generals who were in favor of running over Switzerland just to end their industrial aid to the Nazis.

Set Google map of Switzerland into topographical terrain mode to see where those mountains are and are not.

The interesting thing about Russias Winter War with Finland is how the Russian troops got so freaked out convinced they were under constant attack by some type of monsters that were impervious to being killed. That’s some freaky arse shite. Either there really are monsters in those woods or the Fins are masters of mental warfare.
Monsters massacred Soviet divisions?

First question asked should be, what is the strategic advantage gained by taking Switzerland? That alone is probably the best reason why other countries haven't attempted to invade a mountainous nation with little to offer other than scenery and nice ski slopes.
The juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

Didn’t stop him in Russia.

Rednecks vastly outnumber, outgun, outwork, and outbadass the Swiss. It’s not close.

Foreign army invades somewhere along a southern coast.
US military comes rolling in and there will be rednecks in F150s everywhere saying, man, y’all missed it, that sh!t was awesome! Nah, it’s over man. Cousin Bobby got 67 confirmed kills with just his 12-gauge.

They have fake mountainsides in Switzerland. When you pull back the proverbial curtain, they have anti aircraft and armor weaponry all over the place

The Swiss are awesome. Left leaning politically, but the country is beautiful. The best thing they’ve done in the past few decades is keep the Swiss franc.

and there was a reason Hitler didn't try to invade
Switzerland's borders form a natural fortress, and the "neutral" Swiss still favored Hitler anyway. So, why bother to try?

Because nobody has a larger civilian armed population in numbers than the USA, and that’s a fact
Larger than any three standing armies combined. Over 110 million private gun owners own over 600 million firearms and literally trillions of rounds of ammo.
But then you get into how many truly know how to use them and how many are rifles and it goes on and on and you still come up with more than any three standing armies combined.
But then it comes down to jets and copters and mortars, howlitzers, cannons and tanks ... and, well, who knows. But yeah, an invading army might have a hard time hitting the U.S.
I've been to Switzerland and Austria a bunch of times. Lived not far from there, in Northern Italy, for a number of years. They have a decent, dedicated and proud small army (thanks to The Vatican) and they have the mountains. But they've diluted their population paying homage to the NWO Globalist Davos Klaus crowd for over three decades now .... and they're not in a good place other than being what they've always been. A safe haven for the ultra wealthy.
FWIW I know for a fact that we have more modern bunkers catering to the upper 10% in the Rockies and Hawaii than there are in Switzerland.
Switzerland is beautiful country though. Absolutely gorgeous. Although they have serious resupply issues and a very short growing season.

We are soooo close to saying the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The tide is turning. No brakes.
Civilized.

I see selective editing is alive and well. I said over 12000 ft mountains. Do better
