Entitlement.
We should bring back slavery, in a non-racial or ethnic format, and enslave people who rely on govt assistance or feel like they are underachievers because they’ll never be as wealthy as Jeff Bezos, the Kardashians or any other culture figure on TV. Many will learn what true despair looks like and can be freed to normal society. $40k in America immediately puts you in the top 2% of the entire world in terms of income and wealth.
Those who don’t learn, hopefully they just end up dying of exhaustion or starvation, whichever is quicker

I don’t get how that’s not easy af to clean up.
Wouldn’t someone who is sincerely for helping folks want the cheaters off the rolls?
Get a better way of choosing who needs assistance and I’d be cool with giving them a liiiiitle more than they’re getting now. How is that not an easy win for everyone involved?
Obviously I realize Dems need these people to stay on gov assistance. But it’s feels like an easy 80/20 win if attacked properly.

Starts at home. Then, schools. Then, colleges.
Throw in government handouts, free cell phones, snap/ebt.
Put that in a blender and shite out our society today.

Honestly? I think they are worried that it will destroy the economy. Throwing 30+ MILLION people instantly into unemployed would be a big hit on the economy - It's the only thing I can think of. The food stamps meant they were employed

Too much attitude, too much "I don't take no disrespek", not enough consistency, too many emotions, too many unrealistic expectations, etc

Politicians need poor people. Without them they lose power. This is why it will never be "fixed."

Yep. Their strategy of doing absolutely nothing but watching the cancer grow is, so far, working.

It will be fixed at some point.
We’ll advance enough that nobody will put up with being stabbed on the bus and politicians/media defending it.
We might be 200 years from it, but at SOME point it will not fly to be a pos.
Who are the really strong proponents of population downsizing? Maybe we can convince them that violent criminals and fake helpless assholes should be the first to go.

At the very least, they can separate combat and non combat veterans into different benefits buckets.
The vast majority of veterans are not combat veterans... and ill just say the elephant in the room... People who game the system for benefits are typically not the same people who signed up to be in combat roles and thats just a fact.
Nonetheless, disability recipients will go down significantly if we stay out of armed conflict because they check you for everything now before allowing you in. Even ADHD requires a waiver.

You don't even have to go that far. No reimbursement without a scanned picture ID. Merchants are more than welcome to give their goods away. They just have to eat the cost.

This is whjy I dont understand people wanting to create jobs for these people. They arent employable long term and the jobs we are creating dont pay the bills.

I do not get it...heaven fricking forbid we let people fail after taking away their undeserved gov assistance.
Do you think they would simply quietly starve instead? Or suddenly become model Chic-Fil-A employees?
Were you around in 2020? Roughly 20 million rioters caused billions of dollars in damage and around 40 people were killed because a fentanyl addict OD'ed on camera.
Approximately 127 million people live in a household that receives some form of means-tested government assistance...that's housing, SNAP, Medicaid, etc.
That's more than a third of the country.
How ya'll think that all of those people could just learn to be plumbers and it would fix the problem is amazing to me.

America should be wholly inhospitable for illegal aliens and just this side of that line for those who could work but choose not to, opting to live off of the sweat of others.

Again, that's great and all, but where are the available jobs for 127 million people?
As of August there were reportedly 7.2 million job openings.
Even if we ignore the fact that some significant percentage of those openings are for highly skilled workers (doctors, nurses, engineers, etc), that still leaves us around 120 million jobs short.

I can't even count how many soldiers have told me the person doing their VA evaluation didn't care and wrote all the key words to maximize their disability. That was a wild realization.
Now, that said, I'd rather someone who signed up for the military to get benefits for doing so over a worthless shitbag who has never contributed to society in their life, which is who the OP is referring to.

Or are you saying oopsy, it’s too late so we must keep committing suicide bc the losers noped out of their duty to society and had too many kids?
Alright I guess. Let’s watch it burn down then.
