There needs to be a massive purge of flag officers in all branches of the military. It seems to me that the military, like the intelligence services, believes they are an independent branch of the government, immune from oversight and should just be able to do what they like.
One thing I like about Hegseth's speech yesterday is that he's trying to streamline the mission of the military and return it to what their primary purpose is: killing enemies and destroying stuff. Everything else is a distraction and not the purpose of the military and needs to end. Anyone disagreeing with that needs to be shown the door.

It’s a look of people who put in a lifetime of work who know what they’re doing being lectured to by someone who got the job for being a tv personality.

They should just go

As an army veteran I was extremely embarrassed at what I saw during that birthday parade. Fat, sloppy troops in wrinkled uniforms. Soldiers wearing Alice gear that was improperly assembled. Soldiers that couldn’t keep in step while marching. I can’t believe that a senior non commissioned officer allowed troops to go out in front of the commander in chief like that. This is long overdue I’m glad we have Pete Hegseth there I voted for this. Time to take our military back.

Not really it is a look of people that hitched their wagon to the woke agenda and are being called out on NOT doing their job over the course of the their career, especially as a leader...

The America-hating race-baiting community AGITATOR known as Barack Hussein Obama.
The gift that just keeps on giving.
PS - I wish the militarily leaders from the World War 2 era could come back in their prime for just one day and take care of these woke-joke imposters. General Patton could probably wipe out half of that room all by himself.

Pete has experienced more combat than most of those generals ever have or will.

How pissed are they about getting dressed down by a former NG O-4?
To put it in football terms, most of the successful head coaches were like bench warmers or average players at best. Yet they are all over the four and five star players chewing arse.
Pete is the head coach. Trump the AD.

I can picture Patton walking in a tent and seeing the bird flack of ribbons on her chest and then looking at his chest followed up by walking across the battlefield and enlisting into the German military

General Eisenhower, a 4 star General who basically navigated the U.S. victory in Europe in WW2, didn’t have half the ribbons as these hero’s today

You can tell Hegseth hasn't spoken yet because the majority of the media in the back aren't actually paying attention or live. Plus, several of the generals are speaking to each other.
So in reality, they're probably sitting there bored waiting for the speech to begin.

The destruction of our military started under Slick Willy. He and that gash of a wife were every bit as evil as Barry and Mike.

The thing is many generals retire and go to work for the MIC and become millionaires. I've seen it here in Huntsville, AL with Redstone Arsenal. Double dip. Only in 'Merica.

This. And much of the military has turned into a job welfare program.
