Look, in all honesty, I can agree with Democrats on corporate welfare. I don't like it, either. Here in Mississippi, we just paid nearly 300k per job for a Continental plant. Its terrible.

But they are freaking out that Florida may remove some privileges that Disney enjoys. Most of them are stupid - "Wait until Disney leaves Florida" like its a mom and pop cupcake shop that can just pack up in a week and open somewhere else.

But the most important thing BDR has done this week is question Twitter declining Elon Musk's generous offer. If the Twitter board (who had five members collectively that own 72 shares of Twitter stock) is going to deny the shareholders' profits, then it needs to be investigated.

I am surprised more people aren't talking about this antifa idiot (Travis Robert Brown) that used to work at Twitter and is likely using Twitter employees on the inside to coordinate doxxing attacks against private citizens with support from major news organizations owned by the richest man in the world.

He's even advertising this service which is funded by the German government.

Disney gets way too much freedom, they are basically their own mini-government. It's very problematic, that protection needed to be stripped long before now.

The irony of the left pissing themselves that Disney's corporate welfare may be going away is so delicious.

Disney is not going anywhere. Desantis knows that. More importantly, Disney knows that. They know Florida's business climate is beneficial for them. They also know Florida's actual climate is beneficial for them. There are very few states in the US where the climate allows for year-round tourism to a theme park. And most, if not all of those states, are of equal or lesser business value compared to Florida. Where is Disney going to go? Alabama, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia? Most align politically with Florida. But hey, maybe they can move to somewhere like Minnesota or Vermont. Riding a frozen Splash Mountain in sub-freezing temps sounds wonderful.

No chance. The one there is landlocked and real estate near there is off the charts.

Maybe Trudeau will offer Disney some Safe Space up in Canada somewhere.

The silence from Universal Studios / Isle of Adventure is deafening.

I get where everyone is coming from when it comes to Disney and Reedy Creek. I think it's mostly a scare tactic. Because, if you get rid of it prices will only go higher IMO. It's the consequence of this action. Pick your poison.

Why would prices go up? If Disney is subject to Orange and Osceola County taxes, regulations, etc. it'll force them to have to pay more for materials, labor, and thus will pass that bill off to the customer(s). JMO.

Disney should just pack up and leave if they aren't wanted. problem solved. Disney's happy and Florida is happy.

Disney is all about programming the human mind. Whether it is subliminal or neuro linguistic, Disney is allowed to get away with it.

It's A Small World After All! Until you realize it is not.

Sounds simple. I think their whole property is something like 25,000 acres - about twice the size of Manhattan.

It would be easier for them to just continue their obsession with child grooming until there are no families left in their parks or children left viewing their content.
