The lack of basic education on how this country works is depressing.

It’s sad that people get their education from the media.

How the government works. Checks and balances. How amendments are added to the constitution, why a court strikes down certain things.

Instead we have a population vastly undereducated and more concerned with how they feel.

They have no clue how protected they are by how well the constitution is written out.

This court has made two monumental decisions in less than a week. Very proud.

Dumb take.

Move. It’s not hard. Or find one of these jobs at Chase where they will pay to send you to get your precious abortion.

Moving is impractical for many people especially when elderly parents are part of the picture, nursing homes visits, etc.

I love The “freedom” to have to able to flee the state I’ve lived in my whole life.

But yeah, state rights being able to limit individual is great.

Agreed, but that only applies when you are dealing with Judges who have integrity.

We got lucky this time.

In this life, that’s the best you’re going to get. If the conditions where you are make life unbearable, you can leave. Conservatives understand this, progressives want to remove this option, force you to live under their tyranny. I may not want to move, but at least I have that option.

It’s by design. People who are not taught how the government works can be indoctrinated to believe things about how it works that aren’t true.

If your state bans abortion then why would you want to live in that state?

Would you rather the people you elect to government in your state decide the laws for your state or a bunch of people in a different state forcing laws upon you via DC?

How often do “State Rights” Give individuals more freedom?

Even the gun case y’all are excited about is the federal government overturning a limiting state law.

A state law that goes against a right guaranteed in the constitution.

Where in the constitution is there a law guaranteeing an abortion?

Again, let me ask you, when has a States Rights argument been made that gives people MORE freedom?

They should just kill their elderly parents if they're a nuisance and they can't take care of them, right?

It's what happened when they stopped teaching civics and started rewriting American History.
