The IRS is just hiring 87,000 nerds to look over your tax returns. Stop being paranoid.

I’m pretty sure this has already happened.

I still believe this is a jobs program for unemployed lawyers and those college students with worthless degrees with large student debt.

I have a CPA do that. I don't need to spend more in taxes for a half wit to check his work.

The less competent the hires the more mistakes on audits. And the IRS has an interesting method of correcting mistakes.

They send you a notice and demand $1,000.
You write an explanation of their mistake.
They won't read the explanation until you send in the $1,000.
If they eventually admit they're wrong they will then send back your fine.

I think you're confusing 1099 reporting requirements for bank transaction reporting requirement. But I wouldn't be surprised if they lower the bank reporting requirements. During the Obama regime, they tried to lower the 1099 reporting requirements to almost every transaction. That was a huge nightmare.

Foreign currency transactions are going to be a big issue, too.

I believe they’ll are using the 1099 requirement of 600 to justify their lowering CTR requirements. I couldn’t believe it until I googled it.

I'm sorry. Is this a neurosurgeon residency or a job in criminal enforcement?

Supposedly, the IRS just pulled the job ad. If true, I'm sure that wasn't planned at all and was pulled purely due to the backlash.

After using deadly force, they will assess the body to ensure all neurological responses are absent.
