The Founders believed in “manifest destiny “; so what is new? And many on this Forum believe we are in the “end times. I choose to believe such, but I don’t know it so my Belief is no better than anyone else.
The Mullahs damn sure believe it, and that puts the ball in our court. I don’t think we can stop what is coming. We can only fulfill our place in it.

Well the Iranians in charge think it is the fulfillment of their end times prophesy.
But this is what it is. The Iranians were hell bent on getting nuclear weapons to "join the club". And they would use the club" of nuclear weapons to rule over that part of the world in the manner they wanted. Before getting to the boom test point they decided to build thousands of ballistic missiles and thousands and thousands of drones to menace anyone who wanted to stop them. In the meantime they get a little help from Russia and maybe China to help the execute a little better in the present. We are fighting that. And Europe never even saw the threat so they are in a state of shock.

It’s battle for ends to a terrorist regime that happens to use their twisted religious beliefs against others but they also use their tribal values against others with the same religion.
