I think a lot of the suspension of disbelief issues are due to it being adapted from a British series which is based around a parliamentary system.
Even then, there were only three seasons and each had its own arc.
House Of Cards followed Chief Whip Urqhart as he schemed to overthrow his party’s PM and set up to be the only alternative available at the next leadership vote.
To Play The King followed Urqhart some years later as a few of his schemes were coming back to bite him and Prince Charles decided to take him on because he didn’t like where the country was going.
The Final Cut followed Urqhart as he was about to set the record for longest reign as PM and hopefully cement his legacy by solving the Cyprus situation, which has personal significance as he had served there as a young man and he stands to financially benefit from oil reserves to be exploited there.

Spacey isn't and the thread is about him.
Stop trying to steal the topic of this thread and stick to trying to steal citizenship.

No what I meant was that after all the lefties go down, we'll have a pure and American Hollywood

Have you read the expose' on Breitbart, "Tinseltown Travelogue?"
It's pretty good. Breitbart

Tinseltown Travelogue is a three-part series exploring Hollywood's stunning hypocrisy and institutionalized bigotry. This story, months in the making, comes on the heels of the explosive New York Times exposé of alleged sexual misconduct over decades by Tinseltown's most celebrated producer, Harvey Weinstein, and further unmasks an industry in the midst of an ethical unraveling. Instead of confronting Hollywood's biggest "open secret" of systemic moral decay, Tinseltown's elite have chosen to exhibit disdain for everyday Americans through brutal mockery and relentless attacks on their beliefs. Wrapped in scandal and historic box office lows, something brand new is happening to Hollywood…it appears Americans have had enough. This is a Tinseltown intervention.

And now Spacey will be sucking the BBC in prison.

I stopped after season 4. It became unwatchable. The first three seasons I couldn’t wait for the next episode.

I really liked the British version and was surprised that the US copy made for a much longer story. Does anyone have Cliff Notes about the diverging story lines?
