If the list was ever going to be released it should have been on his way out the door the first time.
Then it should have been on Day 1 of this time.
It will never amount to anything and no one will pay for anything.

But it’s a bigger deal if our own government killed jfk and our own government was running a honey pot scheme.
You win alliances if it’s outsiders, you lose your position in the world stage if you were the one kidnapping children of the world.
If you had to blow it all up the us would fall, people would die, we would have a civil war.
IMO it’s worth it, but majority wouldn’t want to expose the US government as the evil doers of the world.
So, yes it’s a much bigger deal to keep it a secret if the us government was involved.
