If I were a Socialist Dem, I would adore the existence of today’s GOP as my primary opposition party.

Modern GOP always ultimately finds a way to Charlie Brown any opportunity for substantial, long lasting impact and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

It’s just who they are.

I don’t think half of the current party even really wants to lead the country.

Maybe it should. It may be a good thing to rid ourselves of those who say one thing yet do another.

Are you going to start asking for party papers?

They are all compromised. Trump can't fix it. Getting closer to needing to water the tree of liberty.

Agree 100%. This is because they have divided loyalties. The GOPe types need our votes but their true constituency is multi-national corporations and the elites that run them. The latter wants illegal immigration (lower labor costs), no tariffs (lower production costs), and a divided country (allows them better governmental influence via lobbyists).

Musk spent 44 billion to give conservatives a voice on the internet again where every other side would silence and ban you

He came out a dumped millions into Trumps campaign when he was person non grata and destroyed his reputation in the process

Musk just his tech to target areas and money to get non voters out to the polls

The republicans in congress were passing all of Biden’s bills and left Trump out to dry as Biden weaponized the government to destroy him

And? If you asked Musk if he considered himself a Republican, what answer would you put all of your money on?

Musk's beliefs are not and will never be 100% in line with the traditional republican party (or even 80%). I think that is great. He has had issues with Trump in the past and will continue to have them but they work together. Civil disagreement is good for the country and won't prevent going forward.

Well, then they’re not really representing the sentiments of the majority of their own party’s voting base.

Which is a whole other issue.

The GOP love to talk about how to run the government efficiently but when it comes to actually doing it, they piss down their leg.

Y'all got beat by one of the worst candidates the GOP has ever run and still cant figure out how to talk to the middle class.

The GOP was hijacked, it is what it is at the current tim.

All I want, is to find out what they do to representatives and senators when they get to DC.

I just want to see the process, where they sit them down and either threaten them, blackmail them, threaten their children, etc.

I just want to know.

Time and time again, anyone that gets even a bit of power, becomes a mockery of what they once stood for, often just a few weeks or months prior.

Johnson is a perfect example. That which he despised, became his most important issues to promote.

frick him and all of them.

It’s really a pick your poison with today’s Democrats and Republicans. Wanna see the country go down quickly? Turn it over to the Democrats. Wanna see the downfall stymied some? Turn it over to the Republicans. I’m in the slow it down camp, but sometimes I think going ahead and getting it over may be best. Anyway, sticks & stones, nothing leftist cooks say about Repubs phases me at all. The GOPe is the lesser of two evils, but still evil.

Once again, GOP stands in a circular firing squad because they are beholden to the corporate benefactors and lobbyists and freely ignore the actual constituents that gave them their power.

In his full comments, he accused Elon of speaking out because he benefits from the EV mandate that would be removed with passage.
