They tried to hike rates back in 2018, but got to about 2.5% and then became nervous and went back down to 0%. We will be stuck with both an economic crash and continued inflation. The people will continue to pay for decades and trillions of dollars of promises of “something for nothing”.

It’s all part of the American Marxist equity plan…..everyone but the corporate elites and the ruling class will be equally impoverished.

The can has been kicked to the end of the road. You can't run deficits annually and bring up the debt to a number that you will never be able to pay off. Their solution was to pump money into the system and worry about it later, well it is later. Our country is about to learn a very hard lesson and if you do not know how to do anything like hunt, fish, grow vegetables in a garden, fix and repair equipment and learn to be resourceful basically like most rednecks than you will really have a tough time. I think a Depression is coming.

The Democrats and Republicans continue to run up massive deficits.

There will be a correction and it will be epic.

It was the Boomers screaming “Stop printing you Ashholes” since 2008. They have the most to lose with this stupid game.

Maxist governments cannot survive an armed middle class. Gotta wipe them out first.

Absolutely not. They’ll be dead and gone when we default on our debt. This will fall some on gen X , but mostly on millennials and gen z.

We'll be Venezuela X 10 soon. Be prepared to see cars (and pickups) driving around with a wheelbarrow hooked up to the back of vehicle. Why? Cause you'll need wheelbarrows to carry all those stacks of inflated dollars to buy milk and bread.

Remember this Biden groupies. You brought this on yourself. For the record, your pal Joe Biden is a fraud. He's in that Oval Office because the democrats stole that 2020 Presidential Election.

This ^^^^ is exactly right. Americans over age 62 are the ones getting crushed by trillions in fiat money printing. If you’re a young adult with $75k in student loan debt with a gender studies degree you’re in good shape, if annual inflation continues at a 10% clip that $75k in student loan will be breeze to pay off.

Right. But the treasury bond buying by the FED started to slow significantly during the Trump admin prior to COVID.

FWIW they control interest rate mostly by treasury bond buying. They set a target rate and buy or don't buy treasury bonds to meet that target.

As I said the FED was headed in a good direction before COVID but massively bought bonds at the start of COVID and continue until today.

Someone should start a thread titled:
Ron Paul was right.
And we should pin it for decades to come.

Absolutely. They’re losing 13% of what they earned, every year

Most people would not listen to Ron Paul.

They will have to see all the consequences of our failed system for themselves before they realize he was right.

Saying I told ya so does no good.

A poster on here said back when Jug Ears was pumping out stimulus packages...if we don't see inflation from this I'm all for printing enough money to make us all millionaires.

I guess we have our answer now.

Exactly We need the millineals to take over. They are such champions of financial restraint, personal responsibility, and self-sacrifice.
