Absolutely. But when you're doing things for show you check internal polling. I haven't seen any news reports: 'Polls show Americans in favor of going forward with impeachment.' They're not even publishing made up fake polls.
That means the internal polling data isn't good for the Dems.

I don't know about all that but to me it's a simply case of submitting the evidence presented in the Texas suit against the contested states which cites correctly that those states changed their election procedures without consent of their state legislatures which is clearly stated in the Constitution. If the Supreme Court had ruled on the Texas suit instead of punting, there would be a lot less disgruntled Republicans. If those states wanted to change election law to accommodate mail-in ballots, then it should have been voted on by their state legislators.
