The question at issue in this case is NOT one of what the legal standard might be. The questiton is whether the agent HAD a "reasonable belief that deadly force was necessary to protect life or prevent serious bodily harm.
Perhaps read the law in Minnesota
It is from the position of law enforcement and it in hindsight
Sheesh give it up

This can’t go to court in MN or he’s guilty.
This is the state where the judge disallowed key evidence about police training in
The George Floyd “trial”.
Move him to Florida and let Jacob Frey and Walz face off with the Supreme Court and Ron.

quote:Well, all the reporting tells us that was a Minneapolis resident and that she had just dropped her child at school in the same neighborhood, so it seems rather likely.
Can you show us positive proof she was a resident of Minnesota

I have had lawyers try to exclude me "for cause" several times, and they always fail. But one one side or the other will always use a peremptory challenge to exclude me, because they think they understand my preconceptions. They have always been wrong.
I'm pretty sure you are lying
Unless you live in a town of 12 people and there are jury trials every week for crimes you are not being called that often

Just dropping her child off poor innocent person.

Well he is an alter so lying is easy.

You have a nano second in a situation like that to make a decision. Real easy to judge something with 20/20 hindsight. Doesn't matter even if he wasn't hit it matters that a car was coming directly at him he did what he did what he was trained to do. Sorry she was a trained agitator obstructing a legal ICE operation and she FAFO.

On January 8, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey wrote a guest essay for the New York Times about the tragic event, where he confirmed that Good was a "resident of Minneapolis" when she was fatally shot.
I challenge the kid dropped off at school too
I don't believe the mayor as he is also a known liar

But even if there is no criminal prosecution, there will be a civil lawsuit.
Ellison and the Hennepin prosecutor both acknowledged how difficult it would be to build a case with the DOJ holding most of the evidence.
The civil case with a Minnesota jury could be a nightmare for the defense.

quote:Try again.
609.066(2)(a)
... the use of deadly force by a peace officer in the line of duty is justified only if an objectively reasonable officer would believe, based on the totality of the circumstances known to the officer at the time and without the benefit of hindsight, that such force is necessary:
(1) to protect the peace officer or another from death or great bodily harm, provided that the threat:
(i) can be articulated with specificity;
(ii) is reasonably likely to occur absent action by the law enforcement officer; and
(iii) must be addressed through the use of deadly force without unreasonable delay ....

So back to you know what he was thinking?

Well, all the reporting tells us
Well that settles it then.
All the reporting says she lost full custody of her first 2 kids also. Do you have any speculation as to why? Do you know how unusual that is?
Also her mom reported she had nothing to do with anti ICE movement. Do you believe that also because mommy said so?
The mayor reported she was just making a 3 point turn

Well, all the reporting tells us
Shall I personally travel to Minneapolis and obtain copies of property tax and utility records?
Hell, if I DID that, you people would still accuse me of fabricating them. Becuase you Trumpists simply MUST demonize "the opposition." It is who you are.

Minneapolis is somewhere around 700 officers short of being fully staffed.
There’s an obvious reason why.
This civil case will just be another proof point.

No what you should do is admit the obvious.
What you will do is keep gaslighting because it’s too difficult for you to do what you should do.

You’re sitting on your arse typing away, all the comforts of home, all the time in the world to arrive at the right answer, and your brain can’t do the calculus you expect some other dude to do in a split second while a vehicle lurches towards him - and you’re willing to sit on a jury and judge him.

Also while ignoring the fact these two sweethearts had zero business putting themselves in the middle of this situation in the first place
