What objective would the deep state have for doing this?

The existence of the Deep State is one of those rare areas where the far right/left agree. No MSM outlet even entertains the thought of their existence, which should tell you all you need to know right there.

I think the theory has some merit. I would also throw in the global banking system, those who control the money are the ones greasing the gears of the "deep state". Don't ever forget the 2008/2009 financial meltdown, a lot of Fed monetary corruption was exposed but most folks believe that it was necessary to save the global economy...., they're absolutely wrong, it saved the global banking system!
