Agreed - campaign funding is all out of bounds.
And the biggest abuse is the media. Over the past 10 years the media have pumped 10s of billions of dollars of in-kind contribution to the DEMs with their 24/7 propaganda. They should be put out of business and donated to a conservatorship that would be prohibited from accepting even legitimate political advertising for the next decade.
During the past year and a half, their total product was baseless propaganda. The American public still had an instinctive belief that 'if they say it on Radio/(now TV) it must be true" <=== a dictum that was drilled into my head by my mother back in the 40s/50s.
