If you consider inflation to be 8.5% (as reported), then consider this.

In any given year, for people who work five days a week, there are 260 work days, not counting holidays and time off.

In order to have the purchasing power that you had last year, if you could, you'd have to work an additional 22 days and be paid for it at the same rate as you are being paid, now. It is like adding another full month of work days just to break even.

How do people on the left continue to support the buffoon currently running this country?

If inflation remains about constant from March 2021 to 4 years from now, everything will cost DOUBLE what it did in 2020

We were going to have inflation with or without Biden because of the massive COVID relief bills

He certainly isn't helping but it's not all on him

We can't just pretend it's one sided any more. 95% of D.C. is bending us over a barrel with no lube. They do not respect The People or The Constitution.

I'm in favor of a good old fashioned purge.

For every $1000 I spend with the so called 8.5% inflation that’s saying I am spending $85 more per $1000? This doesn’t add up one bit about 8.5%. It’s much, much higher. News media and government can feed that BS to someone else but I’m not buying it.

In case you missed potatobrain's tweet on the topic ...

I am sick and tired of trickle-down economics. It has never worked.

We're building an economy from the bottom up and middle out.

Biden spending bills are far greater than GOP bills during Trump.
Gas prices since Biden's election have had a ripple effect on the cost of everything due to shipping.
It's not all on him. It's all on the Democrats who tell him what to sign.

Pride and a lack of integrity.

You can’t build an economy from the bottom up.

The people at the bottom are typically less affluent… and therefore lack the wealth to fund a start up.

Their entire strategy is NOT to grow the economy, but to take money from rich people and give it to poor people.

Note: That doesn't create more wealth - housing, cars, food, or anything else that people think they can buy with the redistributed wealth.

No. The idea is to take from the middle class and rich and make sure it finds its way back into the hands of the extremely rich

Not sure why this is getting downvoted. Biden is simply the culmination of 15 yrs of poor fiscal policy. Has Biden done anything to make it better? No, but neither did Trump, or Obama, or Bush, etc, etc.....

Has Biden done anything that has exacerbated the effect though?
