The Atlantic

More so than anything I’ve seen/read, this presidential endorsement of Biden by a media outlet exemplifies why this Union of 50 states isn’t long for the world.

This piece by The Atlantic isn’t an endorsement of Biden, it’s a hatchet job of a sitting President. It’s so extreme, it seems satirical. There’s a reason President Trump chooses to control his own message via rallies, social media, and sit-down interviews.

In November (or whenever we learn the election outcome), if the media once again tries to appear stunned re: how Trump was re-elected, they can reflect upon their phony contrition and ceaseless disdain for red state Americans.

They’ve learned nothing.

quote:

Donald Trump is the worst president this country has seen since Andrew Johnson, or perhaps James Buchanan, or perhaps ever. Trump has brought our country low; he has divided our people; he has pitted race against race; he has corrupted our democracy; he has shown contempt for American ideals; he has made cruelty a sacrament; he has provided comfort to propagators of hate; he has abandoned America’s allies; he has aligned himself with dictators; he has encouraged terrorism and mob violence; he has undermined the agencies and departments of government; he has despoiled the environment; he has opposed free speech; he has lied frenetically and evangelized for conspiracism; he has stolen children from their parents; he has made himself an advocate of a hostile foreign power; and he has failed to protect America from a ravaging virus.

quote:

Let us even lay aside the extraordinary fact that Donald Trump has been credibly accused of rape.

quote:

The Atlantic has endorsed only three candidates in its 163-year history: Abraham Lincoln, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Hillary Clinton. The latter two endorsements had more to do with the qualities of Barry Goldwater and Donald Trump than with those of Johnson and Clinton. The same holds true in the case of Joe Biden.

quote:

Donald Trump, however, is a clear and continuing danger to the United States, and it does not seem likely that our country would be able to emerge whole from four more years of his misrule. Two men are running for president. One is a terrible man; the other is a decent man. Vote for the decent man.

Right...I should give you my vote just based on that.

Trump had nothing to do with the racial conflict. That was all contrived by the left.

Somebody needs to tweet them back a true progressive (Greenwald).

quote:

If Biden wins, that's going to be the power structure: a Democratic Party fully united with neocons, Bush/Cheney operatives, CIA/FBI/NSA, Wall St & Silicon Valley: presenting itself as the only protection against fascism. And much of the left will continue marching behind it.

Goldberg combines the worst of the two biggest factions of Dems today: identity politics and a neoconservative foreign policy.

As usual with them (and rest of MSM), all baseless and vague talking point assertions....with zero detailed support for anything. Low energy and low intelligence.

The case against The Atlantic: they suck.

quote:

In 1973, a United States Air Force officer, Major Harold Hering, asked a question that the Air Force did not want asked. Hering, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, was then in training to become a Minuteman-missile crewman. The question he asked one of his instructors was this: “How can I know that an order I receive to launch my missiles came from a sane president?”

This is the opening paragraph. They are still living the Vietnam war. They apparently don’t know Trump is brokering peace deals and keeping us out of wars in the first place. Their head is in the sand.

Clinton and LBJ.
What a group of heroic leaders.
Both with more blood on their hands than Trump will ever imagine.

1. Biden is cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

2. Trump keeps his promises and gets the job done.

I have finally figured out what the division is that the progressives always talk about regarding Trump.

I am slow. It never dawned on me until after the debate last night.

For 4 years I have heard 95% of what Trump has said and I never considered him decisive. Brash. But brutally uofront. I watched speeches and saw them written about a day later in a completely different way than I saw them.

Then last night it became clear.

The idea that Trump "divides" us is simply Democrats eating their own medicine. For a long time Democrats have had a monopoly on making "Republican" a dirty word. In progressive urban areas it is simply hated. Now we finally have a Republican president that calls balls and strikes and DGAF about calling out the opposite side of the aisle.

The Dems cant stand it. They fail to be reflective that they have been doing this same thing for many years.

The media is simply the mouth piece of the Dem party pushing a singular agenda.

Journalism schools should be but won’t be embarrassed.

Literally everything in this list is untrue. Good grief.

My two favorites are

quote:

he has opposed free speech
The party of Cancel Culture and social media censorship has done more to stifle free speech than DJT ever even dreamed of doing.

And..
quote:

he has shown contempt for American ideals
Rich coming from people that claim we need to defund the institution of police, remove our monuments, abandon our cultural history, and install socialism.

They are everything they claim to oppose.

I know why they don’t but journalism professors should be railing against the students they produce as they did not learn a thing. Or did they...?
