The big picture.. explain to me like I’m 5

Let me preface this by saying Im ignorant when it comes these hearings but I‘be been following this impeachment inquiry closely. Can someone explain to me the importance of these hearings? Are they trying to get witnesses to perjure themselves? Is there anyone on the panel that’s on the fence? Is there anything to gain by this mockery? All of these witnesses are going to be pro-Democrat. Does anyone believe that what these witnesses say will sway anyone on the panel to vote in opposition of their party? IMO, it’s been the same information regurgitated from member to member, witness to witness.

Big picture is dems trying to convince Americans that they're the good guys fighting against a fascist, corrupt & power-hungry Trump. Very important self preservation attempt to thwart the reckoning that Trump, Barr, Durham and others are about to deliver to the Deep State. I believe we'll find out there are many more heroes in the shadows that we thought were initially one of the bad guys, but ultimately helped to bring truth to light.
It truly is an effort to cause doubt and splinter the nation into civil discourse when the illumination begins.
The corruption that has succeeded for decades in this country is astonishing and deserving of pitchforks and public hangings for the guilty.

This is a circus organized by the Dems intended to give the fancy TV men in expensive suits and makeup something to talk about to distract the low information voters. If you watch the actual hearings, they are nothing but the media edits it down and then says “Bombshell” every other word in order to make you think something happened.
They are literally interviewing people who are giving he said she said accounts of a phone call we have the transcripts of. We are supposed to infer trumps motives from the testimony of people who have never met him or were not on the call.

Trump withheld money until Ukraine announced an investigation into a 2016 conspiracy, and into Bidens son.
Once all republicans can see that this happened they can discuss if it’s impeachable or not.

So instead they're going with quantity over quality, if enough people of "honorable service" felt funky about the call, then there MUST have been something inappropriate. Obligatory that's not how any of this works.
