There might be average bone mass differences, I don't know. But I do know it wouldn't be enough to make much of a difference in learning how to swim.

A wypipo is slightly negatively buoyant with empty lungs. Full lungs is slightly positive buoyancy.

An AA is negatively buoyant even with full lungs of air. Not due to bone density but because they have up to 30% more fast twitch muscle fibers which are more dense than mid or slow twitch they remain negatively buoyant

Michael Phelps was/is about 10% body fat for competition...

Usain Bolt was/is about 12% body fat for competition...

that swim caps aren’t designed to protect common hairstyles among black women

Looks to me like an opening in the market place

Fun fact..
Having a z style stroke actually will create the same lift for an AA swimmer and allow them to swim st a similar position in the water

:smh:

So, they have a choice between their ability to survive being in the water and their hairstyle? And they choose their hairstyle?

Does that say more about The Atlantic or the black people they supposedly talked to?

It was all explained to me by a black guy about 30 years ago.
"Zach, blacks excel at sports that make a lot of money and don't involve a lot of risk. White people excel at sports that don't make any money and can kill them. Like skydiving, mountain climbing and hell, pole vaulting. You can break your neck and you don't make any money at it."

Swim caps? I never use a swim cap and I swim laps in a "lap pool" 2-4 times a week.

I'm old and I've never seen one outside of a swim competition.

I cited the first two google search results that explained the consent decree. It could as easily have been FOX.

I included one Left and one Right publication to show that the dimwit OP in that thread was completely off-base.
