OpenSecrets’ figures show that the single biggest contributor to Trump’s presidential campaign in Louisiana this year has been Edward Diefenthal, president and CEO of Woodvine Group, which supplies machinery for manufacturing and chemicals companies. Diefenthal, a Metairie resident who has been a major Republican donor for years, gave $102,000.

A woman who answered Diefenthal’s cell phone hung up on a reporter. ( )

Joseph Canizaro, with a $100,000 contribution, was the second-biggest giver from Louisiana to Trump. Canizaro, a New Orleans-based businessman and longtime GOP mega donor, hosted Trump at his Metairie home for a May 2019 fundraiser that raised a total of $4 million.

That is exactly why I refuse to donate to him. My biggest donation to him will be my 2016 and 2020 votes. I’m not showing up on any database as a monetary donor so the loons on the left can come target me and my family.

It's public information. Anyone can go to opensecrets.org and pull the same info in 5 seconds.

While I don’t really like that they’re doing this, I’m sure those people don’t give a shite who knows they gave him that kind of money. Hell, I’m sure everyone knows how active they are politically.

If they started doxxing people donating $25 (which I wouldn’t be surprised if they did) then it would be a far more serious issue.

Of course it is. Did they do the same for Biden donors?

The point you're missing is the typical libtard is too stupid to know that and thus, the information is effectively private. The Advocate running this piece is a way to make sure those dumbasses are made aware of who donated and thus can target accordingly.

Screw 'em!!

I've made 5 separate contributions spread out among his various campaign and PAC funds. No single contribution has exceeded $500 so I shouldn't draw too much attention. But if I do, so be it.

The intent of transparency was to show influence etc.

It was never really meant to be used as a way to stalk and harass donors that you disagree with.

A reputable news source would not publish or do a story on that information.

Ehh, I don't know about the Diefenthal guy, but Canizaro proudly flouts his Republican support. I guess all the other moneyed PI attorney guys have gotten better at shielding their donations if Fayard is the only one getting a mention on the democratic side.

Shame if something happened to their new facility off Siegen.

Maybe all the homeless beggars should start squatting there.

Fayard mainly gets mentioned because he tried to shove his younger daughter out there as a candidate.

Older daughter is a nice person from my experience with her. Didn’t realize the younger one existed until she ran for office despite going to school with her for two years.

This is being done with INTENT, moron.

This is 100% for intimidation purposes and anyone who finds themselves HARMED or harassed should visit the SOB's responsible for this INTENTIONAL attempt at harassment in person and express their displeasure in a vigorous manner.

Maybe someone could lead them there with a little heroin trail.
