How is mail-in voting any different from mailing in an Absentee Ballot?
Soldiers have been mailing in ballots since the Civil War...and before then, there are small examples of soldiers mailing in ballots during the War of 1812 and the American Revolution. Between 1911 and 1924, 45 of the 48 states adopted some kind of absentee voting. This has been around for a long time. Today, registered voters can vote absentee in all 50 states, though 16 states still require an “excuse” to do so, like travel or illness.
It's not good optics for Trump to tweet this kind of thing, it makes him look desperate.

Yalls terrible behavior in the last few years and especially this year has proven beyond any doubt that YOU and your party cannot be trusted with anything. Your party and your media will lie and cheat about anything and everything. We all know you will lie and cheat and steal as many votes as you can. Extremely different. Absentee ballots must be pre-requested and verified, and there are dedicated deadlines to ensure the votes can be vetted and counted in a timely manner. The system is designed to handle a limited number of absentee voters.
What dems want is blanket mailing of 230+ million ballots that could never be validated or counted in time. Even if the postal system and state SOS offices could somehow handle a tidal wave of unverified ballots, there are documented cases of ballot harvesting, postal employees destroying ballots, and outright fraudulent votes being counted in large numbers.
As Trump has pointed out, mail-ins in New Jersey were wrought with fraud while in-person primaries in places like Wisconsin and Alabama went off with zero issues. There is no reason to do this, and liberals who feigned outrage for 3 years about the sanctity of our elections need to stfu about this.

I personally saw a Democrat Clerk of Court Union worker count a need of 800 votes for a local Dem. candidate. When no one was looking, she took 900 votes for the GOP and threw them in the hall garbage at the courthouse. True story. That person serves today as a liberal Dem.. The mail-in voting will be cheating on a big level, 95% Democrat. I know.

Mao and Stalin systematically MURDERED over a hundred million of their own citizens; to think that Democratic Authoritarian Socialist won't *cheat*...is a joke.

Seems like “pre-requesting” is what we’re talking about right now. verfication isn’t a problem, just have people sign the mail-in envelopes like you’d sign in person and compare signatures with ones on record. many states already require that and have been doing it for years. as far as deadlines go, let’s make a deadline, what’s the big deal? if it takes a little longer, it’s not the end of the world. Bush v Gore wasn’t truly settled until December 18th when the electoral college finally met. and what is this exact “limited number” of votes the system is designed to handle? Such lame, excuse laden “reasoning.” This is America, we have the ability to do this. It’s not that hard. You guys want to make it seem like we’re not smart enough to do it. Have some faith in our awesome country.
Seems like Reps would WANT mail-in voting since 57% of registered Reps are 50+ years old and more at risk to Covid. Dems are only 42% 50+, at least as of 2017.

Thanks for illustrating my point. The problem is that there isn’t just one winner here. We’ve all won the right to vote. 100s of millions of voters trying to vote in person during a pandemic is a little different from one person returning a lottery ticket. Thanks for helping my argument.
