The issue here is not whether or not she is a licensed attorney. The issue is dishonesty. If she lied about being an attorney, what else is she lying about?
Credibility is required to be an effective press secretary. Zacharia has none.
Worse, it looks as if Zacharia is just going to continue to lie. Reportedly, she's claiming now that she misheard the question about in which state did she pass the bar exam. Yikes.

I don't care about this law suit or any other.I do care about anyone in Any administration saying he,she is a lawyer yet there's no record of said individual having passed the Bar Exam here in the United State.

The state bar can send cease and desist letters and pursuant to California Business and Professions Code Section 6126.3 obtain specific relief for affected clients
As noted previously, the latter appears to be in cases where there are practices with active client matters

You couldn't script this as fiction. No one could believe an adult...who was appointed to THE most important communications job in the world...couldn't manage a better answer after having time to think about it.
I genuinely feel sorry for her. It seems no one in the White House is giving her advice.
It's hard to believe, but maybe the White House Communications Office really DOES believe that she's doing a good job. Are they really going to risk exposing her to reporters again? I guess that will be the test of what the White House really thinks about the hire.

From what I’ve read about her time at Fix California, she was not paid a salary but was paid a little more than $20k for fundraising commissions. Looks like this is more a case of her fluffing her resume with the “general counsel” title when she was just soliciting donations part time.
