I’m not voting for either one so I’m not sure what you’re getting at.
I’m also not going to pretend what Talarico believes in is any way acceptable or normal. He’s an open borders (he wants a welcome mat on the border), DEI, progressive liberal that will be acting like a moderate from now until November.

I’d like to think that gambling on your own team’s games is a cardinal sin that every sports fan can agree about, even if it’s your own team’s player. I wouldn’t have wanted Sorsby suiting up for LSU if he’d have picked us over TTU and then then gambling stuff came out.
Maybe not YOU, but if were this situation with Sam Leavitt and Get Gordon got Jeff Landry or Liz Murrill involved, LSU fans would be on board. Hell…Paxton’s main screw up on this deal is he probably agitated some A&M, Texas, Baylor, SMU, etc fans in Texas. Landry/Murrill wouldn’t have that issue since the vast majority of sports fans in Louisiana are 100% behind LSU.

At this point in our country, that's more acceptable than openly taking bribes for favors, being impeached by your own party, and choosing not to retry a wealthy pedophile buddy. Sorry not sorry.

The trans issue is a very funny one to focus on to swing a vote since it effects like 13 people across the entire country and he would have no real power as a senator from Texas to impact that.

It’s an 80-20 issue, especially in Texas.
Talarico is on the record wanting a welcome mat for the southern border and is against voter ID. Those are issues that absolutely matter to Texans.
Democrats also tend not to buck the party line outside of Fetterman so his vote will absolutely track with whatever the national party wants. If that’s your bag, great. Just don’t pretend the guy is some centrist or moderate.

That doesn’t really speak to my point. He can think the sky is purple but getting elected to Congress won’t give him the power in Texas to change the publics opinion or public policy of the sky. You keep intentionally leaving out the second part of that sentence which is “and a lock on the front door”. Which is a pretty centrist vision of border control. Most people even in Texas aren’t against avenues for people to gain citizenship to this country, especially given the large population of Hispanic people in the state.
And if you don’t want to vote for him for that reason, go right ahead I’m not here to swing you in any direction. It’s just pretty funny to describe Talarico as some sort of radical leftist. If you really believe that you are just eating the slop given to you by political ads and rhetoric

Brother, Fetterman is a republican anyway you slice it besides the way he fills out his political forms

Ken Paxton shouldn’t be let anywhere near a political office. If it’s possible to raise the bar on DC corruption he would accomplish that.
