Texas surge in Covid cases.....lies and deceit

I have not seen this posted on here, but I came across this twitter gem on how Texas is now counting “positive cases”......complete sham to the American people. This is complete horse shite and I cannot believe Abbott is allowing this to go on. Everyone wants to hold news conferences with updates yet no one in these updates wants to explain how the state has completely changed how they count Covid cases, like it’s some irrelevant tidbit that the public doesn’t need to be informed about....
frick all these people and their games they play with this BS

Wheels is part of the problem.

Wheels is a cuck
He gave the left an inch in Texas and they’re calling for his head and more shutdowns.

Texas surge in Covid cases.....lies and deceit
My wife (no pics) is an epidemiology lead for one of the companies handling contact tracing for Covid, and she told me that a lot of the "new" cases are coming in from people who were tested back in Mar/Apr.
It's all just the media trying to scare everyone. When it all started, they were reporting deaths. Now, deaths are waaaaayyyyy down and hospitalizations are waaaaayyyyy down, so all they have is "new" cases.

ICU beds are filling. Texas Med center reports 1,362 beds filled, 360 of those were last week. 250 the week before and steady growth for several weeks.
People aren’t checking into ICU’s to score political points. It’s because there’s a highly contagious, potentially deadly virus going around.
Look at ICU hospitalizations.

Another new element to the narrative that has just hit within the last two days: While it is true that people who get covid aren’t dying as much, we must remember that they are experiencing organ damage that can last for the rest of their lives. Any mention of the lowering mortality rate is being countered with this right now.
Data has turned against the original narrative, and so now they have introduced something far more difficult to quantify.

Another lie that is going around. People will believe anything they read.

Furthermore, Dr. Atlas emphasized the fact that the death rates are not going up, despite the increase in cases. “And that’s what really counts, are we getting people who are really sick and dying, and we’re not, and when we look at the hospitalizations, yes, hospitals are more crowded, but that’s mainly due to the re-installation of medical care for non COVID-19 patients.”
Dr. Atlas used Texas of an example saying, “90+% of ICU beds are occupied, but only 15% are COVID patients. 85% of the occupied beds are not COVID patients.
I don't know if the quote i posted is factual or not, but sure would make sense on why hospitalizations are going up.

This is why we worked to flatten the curve several months ago. If hospitals aren’t prepared after 4 months of lead time, then that is on them.

That’s cool, now answer me why wasn’t the new method of counting the surge in Covid cases presented to the American people? Don’t change the subject to fit your narrative.
Lol.....could you put a number on just how “potentially deadly” the virus is? I don’t know....like maybe a % chance an American will die of this virus?

Remember when they said the same thing about a city outside of Birmingham almost a month ago? They said the ICUs were maxed out.
The reality is ICUs are normally 95% full. Hospitals don’t have the money to have a bunch of open unused ICU rooms.
Many stable covid patients are being kept in the ICU because it’s better for isolation. Also people going into the ICU for other reasons are testing positive without symptoms.

Abbott will not mind if Trump is not reelected.

So perfect they amp up cases and the hospitalization and death rates are lower. The headline number looks worse but it actually generates more frustration with the masses because the severity isn’t bad and then we can call out Fauci. I like it.

yea but i believe now they are lumping hospitalization and icu into the same category....i saw a chart this morning that said 1025 ICU and only 90 or so were on ventilators...well i thought to be deemed ICU you had to be on a Ventilator

Hey tard. 15% of those ICU beds are Covid. The other 85% are regular patients coming online as we resume normal hospital operations.
Now stfu.

ICU utilization is down as a percentage of Covid pts hospitalized. Oddly. It was very high a week ago.
Posted on 7/8/20 at 8:14 am to honeybadger07
I read somewhere that only 15% of Covid patients make up those that are hospitalized and the real surge has come because of other illnesses and elective surgeries. Anyone confirm that?

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....if you trusted media and government before COVID I'm not sure how in the hell you can still justify that trust now.
