That's a part of national unity - having a single national anthem that is a small part of what connects us all.
Having a national anthem for people of different colors divides us further.

The Federal government forcing anyone to say a pledge or play the anthem seems to be a case of the pendulum swinging way too far in the opposite direction.
A) There were virtually no fans when the Anthem was stopped, so who exactly were they playing it for? Their top players are all foreigners.
B) The already started playing it again under a new NBA rule.
C) Like the flag pin our Congressmen wear it has become a false flag of patriotism. Not every game is an Olympic event. The national anthem is not played before a lot of other sporting events like tennis, track and field, soccer, etc. Mostly baseball, football, and basketball.

More government isn't the solution. If they're going to pass a bill, then pass one that prohibits state, county, and local governments from using tax dollars to build stadiums.
