If all that is true, I agree. And he will be tried in Collin County where a jury will show very little mercy.

Was the phone intentionally broken? Was the phone repaired or replaced by white boy?

You may not know these answers, but you are kind of painting white boy as a bully. He very well may have been, but the black kid brought a knife, sat under opposing team’s tent, and a fight ensued.

My biggest issue with Frisco, TX is that it’s a ridiculously insulated bubble from the real world.

Why would you want your community to be like the "real world"? My son lives in Plano and we go there 4 or 5 times a year and love it for the very reason you seem to have an issue with it. Come visit me just outside Shreveport and you'll love your bubble.

so what! A fist fight does not justify pulling a knife and burying in someone else’s chest.

Whoa. Not at all. All I know is that Austin allegedly broke Karmelo’s phone a couple days ago. I also made it clear that Karmelo allegedly brought a weapon onto school property during a sanctioned school event and apparently antagonized the situation by sitting under Austin’s school tent.

I don’t know how the phone was broken or if it was replaced. That appears to just be the initial issue that led to rising tensions and wildly escalated out of proportion at the track meet.

As I said, my son knew Austin, his brother and friends. In no way am I insinuating that Austin was a bully and I don’t know if any history that would say he is. Karmelo also went to a good school and he had to have a cumulative gpa of at least 3.0 to be eligible for track or any sport. This is a school district where my son is getting ready to graduate with a 4.65 gpa and isn’t even close to the top 10%. They aren’t handing out As here.

Well, we built a house and have lived here for all of my son’s school years bc we obviously enjoyed the protection that bubble provided. However, my son is moving out for college in a few months and I am well aware that I’m not exactly sending a street savvy guy into the world on his own.

This was over a broken phone. Race isn’t an issue.

So you can point to incidents where white kids have murdered black kids over a phone then? Can you show where white kids brought a knife to a track meet?

Of course it's about race, because one race raises their kids to be violent criminals at a much higher rate than every other group. It is virtually never a White or Asian kid.

Right. It's culcha.

Frankly, I think that’s what our community is confronting today. The education, income and community environment does not support or promote a violent lifestyle, it doesn’t stop individuals from idolizing or choosing to emulate that lifestyle. It’s senseless. These kids have everything they could need to be successful in life. Every opportunity is available to them. And one chooses this path?

My prediction is that there will be no broken phone involved and it was just an attempt to make an utterly unexplainable act somehow slightly more explainable.

Race is always an issue, especially in Black on White violent crime
