Don’t put him in a cell. Put him in the prison yard. He won’t be alive long.

The irony is, he will probably live longer on death row than he would have being placed in Gen Population of a prison.
I dunno.
There will be an appeals process ... but they've got this demon dead to rights. Between the video and the audio and his confessionn, I think Texas may make quick work of this guy.

Good point. This is an election year and all eyes in Texas will be on how that case is handled.

George W. Bush denied clemency to Karla Faye Tucker, a woman on death row in Texas, leading to her execution on February 3, 1998. She was the first woman executed in Texas since the Civil War and had requested mercy based on her religious redemption and rehabilitation in prison.
Bush maintained that his role was to uphold the law, stating, "I have concluded judgments about the heart and soul of an individual on death row are best left to a higher authority." His decision followed the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles' unanimous rejection of her clemency petition. Despite international appeals, including from Pope John Paul II and the United Nations, Bush denied a reprieve.
- Tucker was convicted of the 1983 pickax murders of two people, which she committed while under the influence of drugs.
- She became a born-again Christian in prison and was supported by a broad coalition advocating for clemency.
- Bush had previously commuted the sentence of Henry Lee Lucas due to doubts about guilt, but in Tucker’s case, he emphasized that she did not dispute her guilt or claim judicial errors.

Yea. But there would have been no appeals process for a shank in the chest. Child predators are the bottom rung by far of the prison hierarchy.

The quicker the world is rid of this monster the better. As the father of little girls this is my worst fear. Straight to hell and I hope he suffers for his remaining days.

Carla Fay Tucker was my mom's secretary

He pled guilty so that short circuits a lot of the appeals. There was no trial so no possible technicalities to review. There was the punishment trial which will be appealed plus any nonsense bullshite that leftist lawyers can conjure up. It’ll still take years, but maybe five instead of 20.

Where the evidence is so overwhelming and irrefutable, sentence should be carried out immediately. What is there to appeal

Did you ever see her high on drugs or carrying a pick axe?
Wonder what kind of drugs she was on at the time?
Lemme look, brb.
quote:
Karla Faye Tucker was under the influence of a cocktail of drugs, including methadone, Valium, heroin, marijuana, rum, and tequila at the time of the murders. She was also using speed (amphetamine) and alcohol during the three-day party that preceded the crime.
Key details regarding her drug use include:
- Specific Substances: Evidence established she had ingested pills, marijuana, speed, alcohol, heroin, and downers.
- Long-term Addiction: Tucker had been using drugs since the age of eight and was addicted to heroin by age eleven.
Your mom was not aware?
Was she working for your mom when she committed the murders?

Wood chipper, feet first, as slowly as possible. Honest question here though. Found guilty. Sentenced to death. Why can’t he take his last breath this afternoon? Why does he have to be on death row? He admitted it. So there shouldn’t be any appeals.

110% agreed ... and I watched his confession, it's airtight especially when combined with the video and audio of the precious little girl.
Perhaps someone might offer a legal answer to your question. I think the appeal is automatic ... unless the defendant himself denies his right to appeal.

that cop in the video looks like he wants to deliver justice himself right that minute

quote:I know it seems harsh, but whether or not someone repents of their sins should not affect whether or not they receive civil punishment for a crime committed. If justice dictates life for life (I believe it does), then a person's repentance is wonderful and forgiveness is granted to them by Jesus. That doesn't let the civil magistrate off the hook for carrying out justice.

King David was absolutely repentant for his adultery and murder, but he still had to face the consequences of his sin.
The apostle Paul said at his trial that if he had done anything deserving of death, that he would not fight against it, but that he hadn't done anything worthy of it.

I'm confused. If he plead guilty, why was there a trial and why were there jurors?

If he was in a blue state, he may have literally walked.
