Paxton over Cornyn. Cornyn needs to go.

What about Chip Roy VS Mayes Middleton? He calls himself MAGA Mayes, but is he really MAGA?

I know at 1 time Chip Roy p|ssed off Trump. What about Mayes? He authored a bill (SB 854) to allow the muslims to build their sharia city near Dallas.

Who is the lesser of the 2 evils in the Chip Roy vs Mayes Middleton seat for Texas AG?

For some reason ... something is very suspicious about Chip Roy.

He gives off some seriously suspicious vibes.

I'm in chip roys camp. Despite the optics he's one of the most fiscally conservative people in all of DC and has actual experience that Middleton does not have.

Dude's been running ads for months self-calling himself "MAGA" Mayes Middleton, multiple times in a single ad even.

I'm going to be suspicious of anyone who feels the need to do that. You shouldn't have to keep calling yourself 'MAGA'. Your actions, business record and/or voting record should say it for you.

Bo French or incumbent Jim Wright for Railroad Commissioner?

I want to like French, but the dude keeps spam texting about Islam and cultural issues. Good to know where he stands on that, but Railroad Commissioner is about the oil & gas industry, pipelines, water wells, etc.

Absolutely, and it's being done because that's what voters want...more and more of them.

Who wants to sit down and listen about boring old line item city or parish budgets? Who wants to discuss state regulatory policy of saltwater disposal wells?

Nah...just pump up the national issues that one has little to no control over to get the low IQ voters all riled up.

All related to the 24 hour news cycle.

No one gets their local paper anymore.

The local tv station can’t keep up with Fox News cnn etc.

Thus the only stuff fed to the public is national issues.

Hence the only way to get traction in any race is to make it about national issues.

Middleton was tied up with the RINOs in the State legislature that sided with the Dem’s to stall all conservative policies. Plus he has is pockets lined by the Muslim organizations in Texas. So I will be voting for Roy.

As for French, he is legitimately conservative and helped to oust one of the State Legislators that sided with the Dem’s. So he has my vote.

In regards to the Senate run off. Cornyn is a corrupt RINO PoS and anybody is better than him! So Paxton gets my vote.

Jim wright unquestionably.

French's entire campaign is stupid. Bringing up Islam and dei when we're talking about the RRC tells me he has no idea what he's doing.

Jim has spent his entire life in this industry. He may have pissed some people off when he changed the regulations around pits and waste water, I actually support it. Make some of the operators and service providers spend some of their absurd earnings on being more responsible producers in Texas? Oh the fricking horror.

Add in the improved permitting efficiency I have first had experienced the last 5 years, he's actually improving things. That does not mean he's making everything easier for operators across the board. It's balance between cutting tape and being responsible.

And this comes from a guy who's built his entire career in this industry and this state.

I read the bill. There are a lot of municipal impediments for churches wanting to expand their ministry into helping house, temporarily, others who need a helping hand. I know this for a fact. But I read the bill and there's good reason why it failed to get out of committee. It is overly broad-reaching, tramples on the rights of the citizens of a municipality, and allows special interest groups, not just religious organizations, to sue if a municipality tries to enforce setback requirements, parking restrictions, or tries to restrict 3-story commercial housing buildings from being built right next door to a neighborhood of single and two-story homes completely violating zoning laws and putting homeless people in rehab in close proximity to children.

This was misconstrued as being to support Muslim communities, but this law could have been used by basically anyone to get a mail-order pastor certificate, set up a religious organization, buy a one-acre lot in a residential neighborhood, completely circumventing zoning, and build a three-story residential halfway house with no parking and the municipality could be sued for enforcing parking restrictions in the neighborhood.

This was bad law from the beginning but with a good purpose in-mind, which is to create affordable housing for churches to help people. The fact that it tramples upon everyone's rights tells me that Mayes is not a very bright guy and should not have put his name on that bill. I have serious reservations about voting for him, but also am not a fan of Chip Roy. Tough decision coming.

It's happening all over the country, even with the very pro-industry regulatory bodies. Industry leaders need to be prudent operators. Not doing so will just give us a black eye in the public, especially in the current social media environment where you don't need a news crew to show up to your property in order for hundreds of thousands of people to see contamination.

In the long run, doing so will further benefit the oil & gas industry's public perception. The tide has already turned from what seemed to be way negative to much more positive. We need to keep that momentum going.

Appreciate your thoughts.

I agree. But on paper, Roy is actually solidly conservative.

Yet you look at someone like John Sling Blade Fetterman who says a lot of good things but still votes in 100% lock-step with the radical progressive Left, and he frequently receives entire threads of praise on this board.

The political-Right base is scattered and confused right now.

It'll be a Paxton / Roy vote for me. Mayes' SB 854 proved he's either too dense to be an AG or just a pure dumbass...either one I'm not a fan of.

I want a bulldog for AG cause Texas needs someone with a spine to go after the issues in Texas. Paxton got soft after his impeachment even though it failed miserably. He got his appeals judges in to go after voter fraud and hasn't done anything with it. We have a serious H1B issue that an AG can you go after business for fraud, but nothing has happened there cause Abbott is too involved. We need a separation of Governor/AG if Patrick and Roy go closer we could root a lot of issues out like H1B, illegals and everything that goes with them, voter fraud in Houston, Dallas, etc.

I voted for Bo French when he ran against Charlie Geren for Texas House. Bo keeps running for other office since then. That makes me a little suspicious. I kinda wish he would keep running against Geren.
But he seems like a conservative guy so I'm not sure who I'll vote for.

He also is on tape calling MAGA a mfer.
Mayes on the other hand, is involved in grease money situation.

Chip Roy also has clearly stated he wants to go after Paxton if elected.

I don't know enough about Mayes Middleton to "endorse" him, but there is ZERO chance I'd cast a vote for Roy. He's had a few fantastic sound bites, but his horrible stance on J6 is an absolute dealbreaker for me. Either he was part of the psyop, or is too stupid to realize it was a fedsurrection. Either way, he's completely unfit to be in a position of power. I'll take my chances with Mayes.
