It’s an internet post. I did do quick research that led me to believe MS was in same boat. I was wrong and quickly corrected it.

You don’t even have to leave the vape/smoke shop to find shite way more dangerous than CBD/hemp derived THC.

Well, that starts with your local assessment district, and all the assholes who keep voting in the legacy crew that says shite like, "your market value is not indicative of assessed value." That's a quote from FBCAD. And the tards in Fort Bend elected this assessor's replacement at her (Patsy Schultz') recommendation. After they'd watch her hit almost everyone with the state mandated max increase during the oil crash, COVID, etc.
Agreed. I'm in Tarrant though - we got new blood on our board and they enacted a freeze on 2025 values, then a 2 year appraisal cycle starting in 2026, with a 5% cap on appraisal increases.
It was a refreshing change of pace to have people immediately do the thing they ran on doing

I have no doubt that you'd like my sativa brownies. They don't give you "couch lock", but actually energize you. And just make you feel good all over. I use low dose as I don't do much myself. My buddy who has chronic back pain loves them. They are non-toxic unlike alcohol so there's no hangover.
Thank you Lord I chose to live in Virginia. My last three plants (Green Crack) made 23 ounces. All legal.

Thca is the active part in legal weed. You’re thinking delta9 which is sold at gas stations and small shops.
This is bullshite. I loved enjoying a weed tea on my visits to Texas. Bible thumpers, maybe, but it smells more like the alcohol lobby.

I haven’t used THC in probably two years now but why would state, especially one bordering Mexico, hand this to the black market? You know how responsible those guys have been lately.
Because Texas is a Bible Belt state and the “good ole’ Christian boy” culture is rampant across almost all of its legislature.
Minus the strong economy, it’s political climate is the exact same as states like Louisiana and Mississippi.

I don’t know why you guys keep picking on Mississippi, medical weed is fully legal in Mississippi

Delta 8 basically saved my life. After trying everything sleep aid related in the market, D8 is the only thing that I can actually sleep on

I suspect if you polled Christian males in Texas about THC the majority of them would be for it being legal.
A more likely reason is that the prohibition special interests are more powerful.
1) The LEOs, Sheriffs departments, and prisons generally prefer it being illegal. It's an industry. They'll say it's for public safety.
2) Pharma companies are against legalization because it can cut into their sales.
3) Drug cartels obviously are against it being legal. Not sure they have any lobbyists, though.

In New Mexico and Oklahoma anybody over 21 can buy marijuana, residents can grow up to 6 adult plants, and they can have an unlimited amount at home.
Texas is leaving a lot of revenue on the table, but Texans can get weed north, south, or west.
Might be trying to keep out the liberals
