I don't understand why this would be a problem for libs. Don't they want these people to have access to these wonderful metropolitan areas? Why would they want them stuck in El Paso?

I love nothing about it. On the contrary, it enrages me.
But those who are responsible for what’s happening need to actually feel the real, catastrophic effects of the policies their votes support, as opposed to spewing ignorant, uninformed nonsense about how we’re just racist.
Many lives in border states have been upended, to say nothing of the debilitating financial strain we’ve been forced to shoulder. It’s time the rest of the country felt just a fraction of the disaster that’s been created.

“Don’t mess with Texas” is an anti-littering slogan; it has nothing to do with supporting thousands of illegals who cross the border daily.
The federal government is responsible for immigration and protecting the border. Texas sends $millions to DC and is simply “asking” government to do its miserable job. What exactly would you have them do?
Relocating illegals to other parts of the country definitely isn’t a solution—no one has claimed as much. It’s a temporary reprieve from an unsupportable burden.
