If 12,000+ people were illegally entering Massachusetts or Oregon or New York or Vermont on a daily basis, would fedgov be ignoring it and/or blocking every attempt one of those states was making to protect itself/its citizens?

In what other nation in the world can you enter illegally, and the federal government …
… allows you to stay; releases you into the country with a court notice and/or instructions to check-in at a later date (honor system) with immigration officials; provides emergency Medicaid; gives free education, English lessons, and free school breakfast and lunch; and offers federal food assistance (WIC)?
And all on the taxpayer’s dime.
