Not sure how they're defining it because Honolulu median for a 3br/2ba single family home was $1.1 mil a year ago before we left.
I've never been to Hawaii. I can't even imagine how expense it has to be to live out there considering how much shite they have to get shipped in from a pretty damn long distance.

Well fan my brow, those cities are all in deep blue states. Hell of a coincidence huh?

The multimillion housing market is slowing down. Smart people with money are seeing the writing on the wall.

I’ll disagree with the slowing down part, not the writing on the wall part.
I don’t think even interest rates will have the effect they should as they increase. The problem driving these insane prices is lack of supply. I will say mortgage apps are down, but that’s driven by refi apps falling off.

All “progressive” areas no surprise. If money is no object, then no problem.
No room though for a thriving middle class, the backbone of a healthy society.
You’re either so wealthy that it has no effect on you (not yet anyway) or so poor you can’t escape it.
Isn’t progressive leftist society just wonderful?!

I may be wrong as a whole, but I'm going off personal knowledge to form my opinion/assessment.

Another blue state refugee driving up red state home prices.

I'm from Texas originally. I'm coming home to the south.
I've been trying to leave California for over 27 years. Hubby was in software, and all his connections were the Silicon Valley.
He wasn't as motivated to leave California as I was.

We bought a 750K home in NW Ark that is over 4200sq ft on over an acre of land with beautiful trees blocking the view of my neighbors. Grant it we have to watch out for copperheads, but I'll take them over heroin addicts.
I love copperheads and 4200 sq ft homes in NWA…..I must warn you…NWA is drawing a lot of Wokesters to the Rogers/Bentonville and Eureka areas…..there could be a hillbilly revolt.

When I visited San Jose State U. there was a huge problem finding cops, firemen, postal workers, etc. Those salary levels were not high enough for them to buy a modest home in the city and they hated making a long commute every day.
That was more than 10 years ago so maybe they've solved the problem.
