12 years is longer than 8 years. I don’t understand how this part is confusing for you.

I’m not the one confused.

Why do you think you can’t have your 4 years of Trump followed by 8 years of DeSantis? DeSantis doesn’t lose 4 years of his potential term by losing the primary.

quote:

And the GOPe milquetoast donor class is another big area of concern.

And that’s my question - why are you only concerned about it where DeSantis is concerned? Trump not only has establishment backing, but the establishment got richer and grew in power during the Trump administration.

Who abandoned Trump for Desantis?
Who impeached Trump?
Who indicted Trump?
Who arrested Trump?

RDS won’t be able to be elected dog catcher after this election. He has brought great shame to the DeSantis name.

You think Trump is beholden to donors? That’s funny.

Of course they will flock to him. They are addicted to power.

You are concerned with the term “Ronbot”. If you are so level headed, were you telling the bots 8 months ago to beware of calling Trump supporters “The Cult” or “Cult45”?

We listened all summer to how Ron was superior in every way and if you didn’t believe the same way it’s because you’re in a cult.

The tables have turned. I don’t think you enjoy your place at the table any longer.

Shame because he wasn’t loyal to Trump? That’s pretty pathetic of the Trump superfans.

Hopefully solid/effective conservatives grow on trees so we can replace him.

quote:

Read the words I actually post.

I don’t care whether it’s Trump is beholden or he’s simply a believer in big government, or maybe he’s just too weak or dim (politically) to not be taken advantage of - the fact is the establishment flourished under Trump after he campaigned on draining the swamp.

quote:

I’m hardly concerned with the term Ronbot. I use it to describe myself, FFS.

quote:

We listened all summer to how Ron was superior in every way and if you didn’t believe the same way it’s because you’re in a cult.

Okay. So this isn’t about my sensitivity to “Ronbot” because ther isn’t any. This is about your sensitive to Cult45.

First, while I’m sure you could find me using “cult” a few times, truthfully I’ve not been a fan of it and have expressed that also.

As for DeSantis superiority - yeah, I think DeSantis is a superior politician in comparison to Trump. I know he’s superior as a conservative because Trump isn’t all that conservative. I’ve never witnessed a DeSantis campaign so I had no opinion on his campaigning skills until he started his primary run, and I’ve been pretty frank about being underwhelmed. I’ve also been Frank about my concerns with a prospective DeSantis administration - principally about Ukraine.

quote:

The tables have turned. I don’t think you enjoy your place at the table any longer.

This is kind of cute.

But reality is none of us are at the table. We are rank/file voters, and that’s it. You haven’t won anything and I haven’t lost - in fact, assuming you’re to the right of Center like you seen, we will win and lose together. So you’re mistaken if you believe I’m experiencing any heartburn over DeSantis or Trump.

Like I’ve posted several times - I will crawl across broken glass to vote for Trump in the general, and then I’ll hopefully be in these threads eating crow because Trump is proving my skepticism unwarranted. But that’s eating crow on an anonymous internet message board. I’ll still be wining alongside you, and similarly - will be losing if I’m in here giving you “I told you so” shite if Trump proves to not be up to the task.

Dave, sounds like you enjoyed the game while you were thought you were winning.

And RDS electability isn’t because of Trump fans. It’s because he won’t be able to raise money.

This is the “zero sum” piece Tucker talked about. And it isn’t about me being called a cult member at all. I don’t remember any Trump supporters having breakdowns over name calling like a majority of the bots are having.

It’s encouraging to hear you say you will support our President in the general.

I will have Stout order you a coat in the morning.

What am I supposed to have believed I was winning?

Like I’ve posted before - I think it’ll depend on how Trump does. If he loses (I think he wins) or fails to accomplish much in office, DeSanti will not have a problem raising money and gaining traction with voters.

First, I think you have a convenient memory about the name calling, but again - I don’t care about that. I really am not offended by Ronbot or anything else directed at me on this board. It comes with the territory, right?

quote:

Well, it’s not new. I’ve been posting this all along. Even as superfans told me incessantly that I could never be critical/skeptical of Trump and still vote for him. In fact, I had to have hatred for DT.

No need. I have mine from 2016. I just need to pull it out of the 2020 closet.

It's wild how they've spent so much energy contriving a narrative and how desperate they are to keep pushing that narrative.

nobody thinks the way except those who would strap dynamite to their bodies and demand the bank give them all the money or they'll blow themselves up.

What a load of crap. There is only one person in the world that knows how fricked the uni-party is, what lows they are capable of, and has a history of fixing things and getting even. The last thing we need is a one-term president who takes a term to get up to speed - which is where we are if Trump loses. All of us need to come together and get Trump into office to fix this or watch the destruction of the civilized world because that is where things are headed. In 2016, no one knew how overwhelmingly corrupt the government was, but we know now. This isn't about likes or dislikes, it's about basic survival. It's about keeping you and your family out of the camps.

He's wrong. Trump supporters and DeSantis supporters are on the same side and have been from the start. It's weird to me that Trump supporters have been spiking the football in DeSantis supporters faces when they're going to need to band together in the general election to have any hope of beating Biden

I like Ron and would vote for him if he's the nominee... but TDS Ronbots have been REEEing since the second Trump declared and made a couple critical comments about Ron, which happens in politics and political campaigns. But Ronbots immediately went all "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE! " mode.

Well, yeah - I agree. It’s a silly reason to burn a prominent conservative down politically. But that’s what Trump superfans have done and they’re proud of it.

quote:

In 2016, no one knew how overwhelmingly corrupt the government was, but we know now

You might be 25 years old and for you this is true, but not everyone is still getting a lay of the land of adulthood. Our government has been corrupt AF for a long time and plenty of people have known about it. There have been books written about it. “Deep state” was not new with Trump.

quote:

There is only one person in the world that knows how fricked the uni-party is, what lows they are capable of, and has a history of fixing things and getting even. The last thing we need is a one-term president who takes a term to get up to speed - which is where we are if Trump loses.

That’s one way to look at it. Another way is to see how utterly useless Trump was in 2020 and ask the question - is Trump the sort of guy that at 78 years old and with his character/personality, can admit a monumental frick up and learn from it? Or is he the type of guy that blames others, makes excuses and thinks he did better than anyone else could have?

quote:

This isn't about likes or dislikes,

I like Trump plenty. I just think he’s an ineffective president for the Right, and principally too comfortable with big government and elements of liberalism.

quote:

it's about basic survival. It's about keeping you and your family out of the camps.

The Left used to have an irrational fear of the Right’s guns and bibles, but COVID response taught them that they have nothing to fear from the Right. We don’t need to take the Left’s place with irrational fear. Nobody is going to a camp.

But you know what are threats? The open border, a more and more intrusive fedgov, curtailed individual rights, federal deficit and debt that make the dollar the new peso, and susceptibility to the never ending series of existential threats the Left uses to gain power and claw wealth away from the middle class. All things Trump failed to effectively combat as president.

Yeah, I don't feel compelled in the least to vote for Trump as a second choice. I'll see if all of you can pull him over the line.

Then vote your heart, Rog.

You're riden with Biden. Just admit your fondness for the Democrat party this 19th day of January, 2024.
