Sounds like Disney could be accused of fat shaming, too.

Girl was chunky!! But still pretty good looking.

She was fired for saying something I was literally saying just a week ago. I often feel like you have keep your mouth shut as a conservative.

If a dem made the same comparison then nothing would have happened. This in unbelievable. Think about how many compared Trump to Hitler.

I can't believe the times we are living in. It's sickening.

I did think she was a great supporting character in the show.

Character was better than her acting.

I don’t think she deserved to be canned though.

You add absolutely nothing when post. Just zero. Like Biden, only we don’t need translator. At least guys with differing views like Mickey are polite and you can debate him. Hell, AggieHank is good for nice back & forth. Even texridder provides info & links to all his crazy bullshite. You, OTOT, provide ZERO.

Disney and Twitter thank Ted Cruz for his continued support and the commitment of the Senate's former-majority GOP to never do shite when they could have.

what could the Senate have done to Disney?

Yeah... but she's not a weird 1984esque hivemind. She's guilty of an independent thought. Independent thought is a fireable offense.

If you can let me what that observation has to do with a tweet from Ted Cruz about Disney I'll be sure to answer your question. Until, I'll ignore it as the irrelevant comment that it was, and not allow it to derail the thread as it was meant to do.

She was a bad girl in Dead Pool, recognized her while watching it last night. I will say, that line Cruz said about instrumental in making Star Wars watchable again, was pretty good....

My defense of her in these threads is not because I'm some huge fan of her acting. Except for being pretty, she's about as good an actor as any average guy who does actiony type movies that's not some big star. I've argued on her side because I hate what's happened to our collective ability to disagree peacefully and I think she's gotten a raw deal here.

I genuinely enjoyed The Mandalorian. Especially the first season. Second season was pretty formulaic and got a bit boring. As with many topics, I tend to agree with The Critical Drinker on that.

LINK

And if you like him and had not seen a link, I'd suggest spending five minutes and watching this, as he does a great job of blasting Disney for the Gina stuff.

? I mean it sort of it. he's portraying her as some badass character that we should miss, and that that has something to do with why she's being written out, when none of that's true -- like I said, she's incredibly boring to be honest (so, not badass), but if she WERE an interesting character, why would that be an incentive for Disney to "cancel" her? cruz's tweet makes no sense! and as for the actress herself, what IS the point? what do I care that she's getting fired? what difference does it make to me....I don't have any sympathy....lmao

The irony of someone who calls themselves FreeSpeechWarrior280 saying some shite like this. Self-awareness isn't your strong suit, is it troll?

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't make the connection. She was very good in that role.

Disney put up with her being a headache for about 6 months or so. Unfortunately she couldn't make her point about Trans people and be done with it, so they finally cut her loose.

I care about people facing actual, meaningful consequences for their speech. A multi-millionaire losing a gig? Yawn! Miss me with that.

(also, I love Inherent Vice, lmao!)

Gina Carano isn't a multi-millionaire by any stretch. She was punished by lefty scum using a double standard. Her own co-star said worse things but because he holds the correct views in Hollyweird, he is rewarded instead.
