Banning lobbying is a violation of the first amendment. Clear and simple. This won’t last ten minutes in a court of law.
Ethics laws prevent Feds from working for a government contract for a period of time after leaving service. That’s not unconstitutional.
This could be similar maybe?

Limitations and bans are two different things. Words matter. Trust me, it’s unconstitutional.

So, you are saying that they cannot write a law with a 25 year cooling off period that would effectively do the same thing as ban them from becoming lobbyist?
25 years is not a ban but it accomplishes the same thing... So, like I said, you are full of shite and talking out of your arse...
"Trust me"?

No, you can’t. You can’t ban a person from permanently doing something, assuming theyve violated no law, that is a right to them under the Constitution. Temporarily yes. Permanently, no.

What if they're a total nutcase and want to be a police officer?

So a 5 year limitation is constitutional.
And a lifetime ban is Unconstitutional.
I’m inclined to LOL.

Yes, you can. You really need to do some research because if I worked for the government in an area considered "sensitive" then I am banned for life from working for a foreign government and working for private companies and lobbying congress when it comes to the project(s) that I have intimate knowledge of...
So, tell me what crime did I commit? And yes, it is permanent...

They'll send AOC to summer re-education camp for this.

Still waiting on that compelling argument...

What? Where exactly is that in the constitution? Post the link and quote from the constitution to which you are referring.
