The school district will launch a formal investigation, the school superintendent said.
Just the news
quote:
Allentown, Pennsylvania School District Superintendent Thomas Parker in a Thursday message noted that a teacher who attended the protest at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday had been relieved of duty until the district performs an investigation.
quote:
"On January 7, 2021, the Allentown School District (ASD) was made aware of a staff member who was involved in the electoral college protest that took place at the United States Capitol Building on January 6, 2021," the written message from the Pennsylvania school district's superintendent said.
"We understand that many members of our community are upset by the image. At the same time, the district has an obligation to respect the First Amendment rights of our staff and students," the message noted. "Because of the emotion and controversy stirred by the events of January 6, 2021, the teacher has been temporarily relieved of his teaching duties until the School District can complete a formal investigation of his involvement."

Is this a public school? It sounds like a public school. I don’t think they are going to be happy with the outcome here.
ETA: unless he was captured on camera breaking the law, then they might have some cover

They typed that shite without even noticing how directly self-contradictory it is.

I’d like to be his attorney.

The teacher has become the student

I am pretty sure he misunderstood your point.
To the OP I think the only possible way to ultimately fire the teacher would be if he committed a crime.

I suppose if he had been burning down a Target store, he would be good.
Agree or disagree with the tactics, these Trump protesters went to the correct location to air their grievances.

Found this in another article on this story
If I was the school district, I would be clear about that before I took any adverse employment action.

It's unclear if the teacher was only involved in the protests outside or if he illegally entered the U.S. Capitol.

Lawyers are going to get so rich during this administration

Teach needs to claim he/she was there to protest the shooting of a degenerate rapist and boom. Reinstated with a pay raise.

If he is relieved with pay while they “investigate,” then I would assume that this is a typical course of action.
If it is without pay, then he is being punished (financially) for his political views.
If that is the case, then he is going to get PAID BIGLY!

If they didn’t break into the capital or actually do anything illegal, his employer is in the wrong.
A lot of people that broke into the senate chamber seemed to be posting selfies and incriminating themselves in the building.
