Not a convincing study. Hazard ratios are pretty weak and leave out many cofactors. In their discussion they admit it may be enough to warrant future studies, but to say its a blockbuster study is laughable. There are many social factors that were not considered, one big one being that twins generally get inked together. Tattoos in general usually carry with it riskier behavior and if twins did not get inked together they may have different socio economical dispositions....being the inked one may smoke, drink and hang out in the sun and the other may not do any of that. None of those cofactors were considered.

The biggest conclusion was that the tattoo would make it harder to identify skin cancer.

We might end up fighting for our lives side by side and I don't think you'll give a shite about my ink

No. My opinion my choice. Tattoos are trashy. Why don’t you reserve judgement on those of us that think they are trashy?

But....but..most of the gangs have them, also the majority of homeless druggies think they are cool too.... so they must be!!!

Just sharing, no agenda. Lot's of people have tats, including in my own family. If there's any validity or useful information for anyone thinking about getting their first tat at least they'll be aware and can decide if it's important or useful information for them or not. To each their own, but more information may be helpful.
