Last time we had a thread in which someone suggested weed smokers weren't living up to their income potential, the non-smokers were asked if they were willing to take a pay cut if it meant their employer would allow them to drink alcohol, otherwise they'd have to completely stop drinking. Almost everyone said they'd keep the alcohol and take the pay cut

You think he'll be able to increase his pay by $800-900k by not smoking weed? Even if he's making $500k a year, you think him stopping smoking will somehow allow him to double his pay? Such an absurd statement.

You can really tell the age of some people by how they think about weed. The PSA's of the 80's are still stuck in their minds.

I know a lot of high-functioning professionals that either smoke or use edibles. You can get stoned off your arse on sunday and function just fine on Monday morning. Can't say the same about getting tanked during brunch. Hangovers are a bitch.

I enjoy drinking bourbon much more than weed but I'm past the age of hangovers being nbd. Now, I have to prepare by leaving a big bottle of gatorade and some BC powder. The next mornings are a bitch even after just a couple glasses.

Almost two decades as a Professor.
Weekly smoker.
Never been tested nor has any colleague in that time.

Not really sure why you think this is an endorsement of legalizing.

Isn't weed-smoking a prerequisite for being a professor?

Most professional jobs still test.

Unless you work for the state or federal government attorneys are not drug tested. Or at least I've never heard of firms that do so.
