Because of these improvements to the program (as well as many other small ones that I am not mentioning), SB2095 will become law. I thank all of the legislators for their efforts on these improvements and all of their hard work. I am most grateful to all of you: Mississippians who made your voice heard.
He doesn't say he will sign it. So it may become law without his signature.
MS has made so much progress in last 10-20 years, leaving LA behind in the dust, sadly. They are now the 37th state to allow this. Not allowing it was something that I think was a sign they wanted to live in the past. That's over now.

You still can’t smoke it and maintain adult jobs.

The only jobs that still test for marijuana are construction, petrochemical plants, and equipment operators. Doctors, lawyers, accountants, IT nerds, programmers, etc are all perfectly capable of smoking weed and having extremely high functioning and high earning careers.

Checking in. Mrs. Cotten and I both smoke near nightly and both have 6 figure jobs in a Fortune 100. But Lord forbid the janitor in the office smokes a little weed after a hard days’ work.

Healthcare and airlines still test for it

Not all healthcare jobs. This testing isn't near as widespread as it used to be.

As do all heavy equipment operators.

Not sure what the point would be in lying about this. No one cares. Go drug test your IT devs and let us know how that goes.

I know very few people who are drug tested for their jobs. And I’m over 15 years removed from entry level jobs post college. Most employers don’t drug test anymore unless you’re working with heavy machinery. I actually recently took the first drug test of my life....during a medical exam for life insurance. Most people don't care anymore

Most professional jobs still test.

You damn sure can in Oregon. Most employers don't even test for it here.

Money isn't everything. Just a thought. You're not taking it with you.

Well this is just bullshite. I'm a CPA, working for a public accounting firm and I smoke weed everyday. Usually wake and bake too. Get this I've even promoted as soon as I have been eligible at every point in my career.

Same minus the wake and bake. I don’t do it often.
Just stop if you’re about to change employers and don’t do anything stupid enough to make your employer test you.

You think he'll be able to increase his pay by $800-900k by not smoking weed? Even if he's making $500k a year, you think him stopping smoking will somehow allow him to double his pay? Such an absurd statement.
