Tariffs on Canada: On [Off]

Trump delays tariffs by 3 days. What’s his master strategy here with the latest delay and are we just incapable of seeing it because we can only see in 3D (some of you 2D) chess and not 6D?
It just seems like Canada didn’t budge this time though.

The article says it's because they're close to a deal.

Proves that before posting, one should avoid reading the article and focus on the title.

Where have I heard this before
Trump needs to learn to not take the pressure off until after a deal is made

President Trump has done great things for our country.
It is astounding after over 5 years of him being president that anyone believes anything he says about an alleged impending deal. I guess there's a possibility that what he says is true, but that would be a coincidence.
How is that Greenland deal coming that "everybody jumped at?" How many times has Iran "agreed to everything?" How is Gaza-a-Lago coming...has Hamas disarmed as Trump promised?
Good Trump = closed borders, great stock market, wokeism in retreat
Bad Trump = lives in an alternate reality encouraged by the sycophants he has around him
One thing is for certain. No final deal will be signed within 3 days.

Agreed. No one can explain how the premature cease fire with Iran was a victory for the United States...unless there really wasn't a viable military option for us to win.
I guess the premature victory celebrations give him a sugar high...and then the President just pretends whatever results is a victory like no one could have believed was possible. I think this only works on about 30% of Americans at this point.

The article says that President Trump says they're close to a deal...which is meaningless.
With all of the President's hucksterism about deals how do you know if something he says is
-the truth
-a lie
-or 5D chess as part of the art of the deal?

You are having a TDS flare up

Trump is the best President of my lifetime. That's largely a function of his personality. You take the overall good with the occasional bad. Trump exaggerates and sometimes lies to try to achieve results...most of which most of us on this Board want.
It's just his way of operating. It has brought him (and our country) much success.
Just for once, can't you acknowledge that President Trump at least occasionally says things not for the truth of the matter but because of some strategic reason...and that understanding that doesn't mean someone has TDS?

Why would I care...but yes...I think most rational people who read what I write here don't think I have TDS. 100% of people who know me in real life know I don't have TDS.
I think 100% of people who see that you can't acknowledge President Trump occasionally makes things up think that you are mentally defective when it comes to Trump's statements.
So, come on, show us you're in touch with reality.
Has President Trump ever lied?

This is why Trump supporters don't melt down over everything he says. We understand his words have a purpose.

Trump supporters have known this for years. It's Trump's detractors, in my experience, who struggle with it and demand complete transparency and honesty in the middle of high-level geopolitical negotiations despite the negative repercussions it may have.

I agree, but it also doesn't prove that one doesn't have TDS, to be fair.
