He has more intelligence and knowledge about policy in his hand than you have in your entire brain.
However, I completely disagree with him because he does not care about confronting China on theft of trade secrets and corporate espionage that is costing us 100 billion a year.

Remember they are only going to start buying soybeans when other sources are out. Our soybean growers are the last in line to sell them as there is still a tariff on US grown soybeans. Chinese soybean users are going to buy US beans if cheaper South American beans are available.
How is this any kind of win?
(I don't think the Chinese will recognize the foolishness of such a tariff but Trump has not as of yet so we shall see.)

Identifying a problem is part 1. Finding a reasonable solution to the problem is the other half of the equation. Tariffs don't stop the theft of intellectual property

These tariffs are a theft tax and the US has more leverage with a strong economy and the Chinese economy is not doing so well right now.

I do not but I do know that there are a lot of regulations on capital leaving China and regulators there may very well be clamping down on money going to US investments by Chinese multinationals.
