Not from me. This situation alone is why Gitmo was an abomination. You radicalize people against us even more, especially folks who are just on the periphery of groups like the Taliban and who are aligned with them simply because of the social safety net they provide.

Not even close. We should have never stopped at the 38th parallel in Korea. Should have gone ahead and pushed north, pushed the Chinese out of Korea and went ahead and nipped the CCP in the bud before it ever got started. We had nukes at the time and could have bluffed them all the way to surrender. Without the Chinese there is no Afghanistan.
