All I can say is that Biden better get his head out of his arse and get the best people together to develop an exit strategy for the Americans (military and non-military); the Afghani interpreters; and those who aided the US over the course of this war out of that country.
This debacle is laid directly at his feet. He clearly underestimated the Taliban. Say a prayer for all those in harm's way over there.

How the Taliban Overan the Afghani Army, Built by the US Army for 20 years. | Source: Wall Street Journal | By: Yaroslav Trofimov
Our administration is dumb AF.

In the wake of President Biden’s withdrawal decision, the U.S. pulled its air support, intelligence and contractors servicing Afghanistan’s planes and helicopters. That meant the Afghan military simply couldn’t operate anymore.
quote:
When U.S. forces were still operating here, the Afghan government sought to maximize its presence through the country’s far-flung countryside, maintaining more than 200 bases and outposts that could be resupplied only by air.
Our administration is dumb AF.

some Afg’s received an email from the @StateDept to fill out a “Repatriation Request” for a flight out.
it’s being offered to those at the end of the visa process despite comm. flights halted at KBL and no known evac. plan at this time.

They’ll get right on it AFTER they get done prioritizing CRT, Masks, and 100% vaccinations for soldiers.

Probably from before the embassies started closing shop, but the Pakistani embassy seems to have done more than the US embassy did

Pakistan Embassy has announced that they're issuing emergency special visas for journalists & other people at immediate life risk as the Taliban enter Kabul.
The Press Secretary of Pakistan Embassy is arranging the visa issue.
The visas are issued on walk—in basis. No waiting.

We have no idea when or where it will happen, but what we are seeing today will breed another major terrorist attack on our country. Particularly when consider the disadvantage of losing our intelligence presence in Kabul. There is a void. It will be exploited.
Some of the Taliban coming into power right now were part of the Taliban regime that fostered Al Qaeda. The average Afghani will remember this day, and their actions and decisions will be guided by revenge and survival.
