Or, they strategically retain a number of US citizens who’re scattered across the country and demand not just that money but more to release them.
An alternate is they will offer us an extension on the Aug 31st date to leave in exchange for freeing the money.
I’m surprised the “Tolly Bohn” hasn’t shut down the Airport and told us release the money or they will allow ISIS into the Airport...

The US walked and left them (and our NATO allies) high and dry, breaking assurances we made to all. In addition, we left the Taliban a colossal weapons cache most industrialized nations would kill for, let alone barbaric terrorists.
The Afghan army was far from elite, but let’s not act like we didn’t frick them over royally on our way out.

There was also a firefight at one of the gates overnight (their day). It killed one Afghan Soldier and wounded others.
It is being reported by multiple news outlets both international and domestic.
One report says it began with a sniper taking shots at troops working the airport gates.
